Two-sday: Two Brands I'm Bored With!
Okay... this is just going to be me roasting some beauty brands just a little bit because... after a while- things get old. When SOOO many brands are coming out... some brands need some different things! That's all. Doesn't mean I think the brands are bad... I just want a little more from them.
1) Benefit- Benefit is a brand I sort of don't love to begin with because of their occasionally misogynistic advertising... There's a huge problem with it and I haven't bought from the brand in a few years because of this.
But my feelings on that aside... ehhh? I just don't think they really have anything new and exciting coming out. They seem to keep repackaging their old products, maybe reformulating them slightly... and they only occasionally have something new released. Their boxed powders are sort of becoming just slightly different versions of the same thing... I just think they can do better. The brand as a whole can do better with their advertising and they can definitely come out with some more creative products.
2) Kat Von D- Kat Von D is another person that has said some controversial things lately... and I don't always agree with the things she says or the things that she does. She's always had great quality products though and I've always liked the brand. And it's not that I think the brand is really bad or anything now... I'm just not excited by the stuff she's been coming out with recently. I think one of her newest products out is the Alchemist Transformer Mini... which is a smaller version of some of the colors in her alchemist palette... and maybe that's exactly what people are looking for... but it's $14 for a small highlight and you could get the BH Cosmetics Blacklight palette for that same price... it just doesn't make much sense to me... so I'm going to say I'm not interested and I'm going to pass on those.
