Frugal, Fancy, Fragrance, Fashion, Favorites Friday: January Favorites Edition
Alright- so even though I didn't wear a ton of makeup in January... I do have quite a few favorites (especially from the drugstore) I thought this would be a fun way to share my favorites because I just kind of like breaking everything up into categories like I do with my Friday favorites.
Frugal
As I said- this is the biggest category... so I have a lot of great favorites from the drugstore this month.
First off is the Maybelline Snapscara. I think I'll have a full review on this up next week... but overall I was super, super impressed with this. It really makes my lashes look long and curly. I got the Black Cherry Color- which I really like... but I would totally try other colors too. Just a good product over all and I'm excited to talk about this more in my review.
I have 2 foundation favorites too. Both are from the Ulta Brand- the HD Soft Focus Foundation and the Youthful Glow Serum Drops. Both of these are a great formula- they have good coverage, they last a long time and the Serum Drop Foundation is ESPECIALLY good for dry skin... but they both work really well for dry skin. Anyway I'd say the only con for these products is the shade range. The shade I got works... but it is a little bit light and not quite an exact match. Either way I love the formula of these and I think they look great. I will probably still actually test them out fully... maybe even in a youtube video- just for further review.
For the cheeks I've had like 3 go to blushes- 2 different formulas- and 1 highlight. The first Blush Love I had this month was the Flower Beauty Blush Bomb Color Drops. I have the shade Bubbly (which I will have a review on tomorrow) and I just recently got Pinched also. These are fantastic and they just give a nice, long wearing natural looking blush to the skin. I used Pinched a little more this month- but Bubbly was definitely my December must have. These are easy to apply quickly too- which is the real reason I've been using them so much. They just work great overall.
The next blush is the Covergirl Instant Cheekbones Blush in Redifined Rose. I think these are slightly reformulated because Covergirl changed their packaging and went cruelty free and leaping bunny certified... which is amazing. This is a nice natural color... and I just like these covergirl blushes a lot too. So easy to use and just a total drugstore classic and hidden gem.
And my highlight favorite this month is the Wet n Wild Zodiac Gold Bar Highlighter in Air. This is just gold perfection for my cheeks- I love it so much... plus I am a Libra- which is an Air sign... so it is totally perfect!
Wet n Wild Lipsticks have been another favorite of mine this month. Just the old fashioned Megalast formula. I just got the shades Bare it All and Sandstorm and these are great neutral colors in a classic formula that just works perfectly.
Also for the lips: Lumiere lip liner from Colourpop... I don't know why I've never tried these lip liners before- but I love this! It definitely makes my lipstick last longer and it is a really nice, comfortable formula. The color is great too- I love the Lumiere Lipstick from Colourpop.
And the Colourpop Luxe Lipstick in Lay Over... love this formula too! This color is also amazing. It's neutral and it just looks super pretty on me... in my opinion. I love it! This formula isn't plumping or anything- but my lips look full when I use this. Maybe it's just because I use lip liner and my lips are full naturally... but still.
Ohh and Lip Smackers. Talk about classic! This is perfect! I've been getting a lot of these lately and I'll probably do a review soon.
Fancy
The Urban Decay Naked Cherry Palette. This is amazing. It is super fun and I love the colors of it. It's a fun one to use for sure.
And the Mac Painterly Paint Pot... I've had this for Months... but it went missing and when I finally found it I remembered how perfect it was! It really helps eyeshadows last longer and it is also easy to use.
Fragrance
I think this is the same or almost the same as it always is. The Kimoji Cherry Perfume is just the perfect cherry scent that I just really love!
Another one that I love is the Watermint and Eucalyptus Foam Bath from Vitabath. This really gives a lot of bubbles and makes the bath foam up nicely and it smells great too. And I still love the Eucalyptus Spearmint Dr. Teal's Epsom Salts... which is my favorite!
And I tried the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream Shower Gel... I think it's called Brazilian 4 Play or something. It smells amazing and it is actually super moisturizing and I love it!
Fashion
My new Kate Spade bag! I love the color- it is so cute and it's just nice and small and cute.
Favorite
The Bachelor! I love this season- I love Colton. He seems really nice and genuine... even though he is just playing the game... he also seems to genuinely want to find love and happiness. The ladies are very entertaining and I just like the show. I'm doing recaps on my other blog!
