Okay... I'm Impressed: Too Faced Gingerbread Spice Palette
I thought I'd give a bit of an elevated first impression on the new Too Faced Gingerbread Spice Palette. I'm not sure how long that this palette is going to be around and I want to get a bit of a review on it now... but also- I'm super impressed with this one! Not even going to lie! I wasn't going to pick it up... but I'm really really happy that I did and I'm sure I'll be using this a lot longer than the holidays.
Do The Swatches Do Justice???
Alright- I've swatched this palette in store... I wasn't super impressed... but I thought "hey, I like a lot of Too Faced Palettes... they don't always swatch great. I've heard it's good... I'm going to get it anyway." And honestly it does look better on the eyes and it lasts better on the eyes than in swatches. Sometimes things swatch better than on the eyes... sometimes they're a little worse... at least in store. This I was wayyy happier with when I actually used it than when I saw it in store.
Does it Smell Amazing???
No. I don't really smell it at all. I've heard people say they got it because it just smelled too good... I don't really smell it at all... As far as Too Faced Palettes go I love the smell of the Natural Face Palette the best... that's definitely the strongest smelling of all...but yeah.
Color Selection
So when I first saw this palette I was kind of like "ehhh I have these colors... I don't really need this palette." But when I saw Ulta had bonus points on Too Faced and for my birthday and just in general... so I got it because of that... I'm really impressed with the looks I can get from this. I did one golden-ish look yesterday that I was really happy with... and I did a more greenish look with it today too and I loved it. Plus I can still see more I can do with it... I'm not bored with this palette at all. It's really nice and exciting and I think it'd be good.
Should I Get This As A Gift For Someone?
I think this would make a really fun gift. I think it's a little bit more practical than the other Too Faced palette that they released at Ulta and Sephora for the holidays... and I think people would just be excited to see this under their christmas tree.
Plus it's actually really good! I really love it!
Should I Wait Till It Goes On Sale???
Honestly- I'm sure it'll go on sale after the holidays and I would say maybe wait and take advantage of that. As great as this palette is... always take advantage of sales if you can wait. If you can't wait and you just want it now- I think it's worth $49 and I think you'll be happy with it and use it if you do buy it.
Did It Last A Long Time On Your Eyes????
Yes! Yesterday I had it on all day at work...so 5 and a half hours- and it was still on when I came home. Tonight I had it on from the work day to my date night out and it looked really good... so It was pretty good! I'm pretty impressed with the wear time on the eyes.
That being said... there was some glitter fallout... but still I really just liked how it looked on my eyes and it's just been fun to come up with looks for!
Overall...
I was super impressed with this palette and I am just happy that I have it and that I can tell you guys about how great this is!
