August Essentials: Makeup Edition

I have to say... I've been a little lazy as far as makeup and skincare go lately. I haven't been wearing makeup all day every day because I just started a new job... hence- my lack of posts lately... but I have been pretty much using the same few things for my makeup most of the month... so that's something.

My primer is the same as usual- Milani Prime Light Primer. This is my favorite discovery of the year- it's amazing.

Foundation... I've been using 2 different things mostly. If I'm working I like to use the Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation because this is a nice, longwearing foundation. If I'm not working- just kind of enjoying my day or whatever I like the Physician's Formula Healthy Foundation because that's a little more natural looking and I just like it.

I also started using the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer... which I like! I'm not huge into concealer- but this one has been good for me!

For blush and highlight I've been using the Becca Sunchaser palette. This is discontinued- but you might be able to find it at any discount store that carries Becca. It comes with a bronzer in Ipanema Sunset- which I haven't been using a lot, Apricot Blossom in the Mineral Blush formula- which I really like a lot and the Opal Highlight... which is very amazing lol. I love these little becca palettes because they're versatile, easy to use and this one is great cause its an all in one palette!

Eyeshadow! I tried the Mac Painterly Paint Pot this month and I loved it- but I have no idea what I ended up doing with mine... so I've been pretty much using my Milani Eye Primer.

For actually Eyeshadow I've been using 2 of the Jaclyn Hill Morphe Palettes from her vault collection. I got the palettes in Bling Boss and Ring The Alarm. I'd like Armed and Gorgeous too- but so far I just have these 2 and I've been LOVING them! They're just super easy to use and great... I feel like I'm not getting a ton of different looks with these- but I have been getting a lot of looks that vary slightly I guess.

Mascara is as always: L'oreal Lash Paradise.

I've been using one of 2 lip liners basically... either the Colourpop Lumiere liner or one from Ulta Beauty Brand Automatic Lip Liner in Wild Berry. This is an easy lip liner to use and it doesn't feel drying... plus it helps last well.

And for actual lipstick: Mac Twig. This lasts a long time on my lip but it isn't drying. Ladies at work complemented me on it... it just works well!

Bye!
-Shannon
