Claims Vs. Reality Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

So there aren't many claims with this... but let's try it! So the claims will be bolded and I'll write it afterwards

1,944% more volume
That isn't a real statistic. If its over a 100% statistic... I don't believe it. I have a feeling that has to do with the "Marilyn Monroe" curves of the brush. Marilyn Monroe got her start in the 40's and I think that is a nod for her. There is nothing saying that its an actual fact or a consumer study... so I think that's just a nod to Marilyn Monroe disguised as a statistic.

93% Saw Base-to-tip Curl
Yeah... I don't think this totally needs a curler... but I think this formula bothers my lashes... so I usually curl anyway. I thought it was just that I used too much of the waterproof mascara... but somehow I think its just this formula in general just kind of bothers my lashes...I'm very sensitive in my lashes and few mascaras work for me... so maybe its just me.

100% Saw Dramatic Volume
Yes! Although I have to say... I think this is kind of double talk. If you have a base-to-tip girl you're going to have dramatic volume... so these are kind of the same thing. Yet somehow a small percentage of people disagree.

100% Saw Longer Lashes
Yes. I agree... but again... any mascara will do that. That is the point of mascara... so if it isn't giving you longer lashes, throw it out!

90% Saw A Dramatic Look With One Coat
This is more double talk... if it has dramatic volume its going to have a dramatic look. And yes it does have a dramatic look with one coat... I guess 10% of people think its more buildable. Idk. Lol. But you see how these Claims vs. Reality things work. I'm not being grumpy, this is a great mascara... I'm just saying there is some double talk here. I want you to be aware of that! Lol.

On The Back...
I'm guessing the Monroe estate was that 10% because whenever Jared Blandino talks about this, he says its based on Marilyn Monroe... but this just says based off "An Iconic Silver Screen Bombshell" so yeah... I'm joking... but still. Maybe they were that 10% of people that were not satisfied with one coat. Or maybe Alexander Hamilton and Anjelica Schylur were because they will never be satisfied. I'm having fun with this review...

Separates, Coats and Curls
It doesn't separate that well. I've mentioned this before, but some of my lashes are Zach Galifinakis, Ed Helms and Bradley Cooper... and they just like to clump together and sing "We're the three best friends that anyone could have" and they won't separate. I don't know if anyone else has that problem... but I'm just putting on my mascara like "Doug is on the damn roof! Give Mike Tyson his Tiger back and go back to the hotel!" But I digress...

I think it does an excellent job of curling the lashes. Its just very easy that way.

And as for Coating... duh... that's the whole point of a mascara. It coats your lashes. If you're mascara is not coating your lashes... maybe make sure its not another make up product or something...

Film Forming Polymers... Acacia Senegal Tree Extract... Unique Peptides
The polymers make it smudge proof... yeah not so much. Mascara is usually not smudge proof on me and this isn't terrible... but maybe the Polymers should keep their day job.

The Tree Extract Nourishes, Thickens, and locks curls in place... thats probably true. I don't think my lashes feel particular nourished after using this... but I think its just my eyes.

Unique Peptides make it the deepest intense black possible. I'd say thats accurate. This is a really really black mascara... and I wish it were a little less black. I think that's what is making the clumps stay together so strongly.

And its ophthalmologist tested and suitable for contact wearers... okay! But maybe not my ophthalmologist since I think its bothering my eyes. Maybe not... my eyes have been teary lately regardless... okay. I'm taking that back lol. It probably would have happened with any mascara.

Overall great mascara... but claims are usually double talk and made up stuff if you really digest it. So... just look at that when you read the claims. It doesn't make it any less of a mascara and I do think its probably worth $23. Idk on one hand I'm like "that probably paid for the survey on the front" but it also probably went for ophthalmologist testing and the better ingredients that are in it... and the packaging. That's all well worth $23. That is not paying the Monroe estate I guess though. Lol.

I hope you had as much fun reading this as I did writing it. Sometimes its good to have  a laugh even in a beauty blog. Lots of love to CanoexMakeup I won this in her giveaway and I have never tried a full size of the regular version! And I much prefer this to the waterproof version and I think its better than the sample size! Go give her love! Follow her and stuff! She is very talented and a really cool person.

And yeah! Don't take this too personally if this is your favorite mascara... I love it too! I just always laugh at claims!

Byeee!
