Worth It Wednesday: Mac MSF in Soft and Gentle
This is a really nice highlight. I actually won this in makeupbysheaa's giveaway. Go show her some love. She is the nicest, sweetest person with great tips on makeup, she always knows when all the good sales and deals are and she's going through a hard time if you can see her channel... send her lots of love. She's amazing. You'll love her.
Anyway This is a highlighter from Mac, first Mac product I ever tried and I'm happy to say it was great! I still haven't tried many products from Mac... but everything I've tried so far is a winner!
This is $33... which is a lot for a highlighter. You get a ton of product in it and I think the price is reflecting that... idk if I could ever hit pan on this... so $33 seems a little steep Idk if I'd say "its worth it" but this isn't one of those things I'd say you absolutely need in your collection. This is a "treat yourself" product. If you've had a bad day, or you're celebrating something or you have a gift card to macy's and you don't know what to use it on... or even if you're looking for a gift for someone or for a giveaway... this is a great option. I also think its good if you're a makeup artist because this is a huge pan and its a color that I think will go with a lot of skintones.
And the glow you get from it is pretty intense. I've been using it non-stop lately. I've been wetting my highlight brush and using it that way just because it just amps it up a little bit I think. Its a baked product, which can tend to look a little dry and sometimes they show skin texture. I think this is a little smoother than most baked products... I'll get to that later because there is a drugstore dupe... but this isn't something I would be afraid of as far as baked products go.
The drugstore dupe is from Elf and its $30 less... and if I didn't have this one I would say that one is amazing... probably a perfect color dupe... but the Elf one isn't quite as smooth as this one, so its just a little bit off texture wise that would make me pick this one up instead of that. Now would I say this is worth $30 more than that elf one... not really. You'll get the same look and you won't be disappointed in the elf. It isn't totally rough... but I would reach for this first. And I think if you're a makeup artist or something, you'll really like this one. Its good.
This wears nicely too. It looks just as good if not better at the end of the night. It just looks very natural and pretty, its nice.
So I like this I'm happy to have it. I think its worth a splurge... but I would probably only recommend buying it as a splurge, or if you do makeup on people. It's just a nice luxury. I like it. I'm happy to have it.
Byeee!
