Swatch Saturday: Lorac Redifined Romance Eye/Cheek Palette (Nordstrom Anniversary Sale)
Alright this is going to be a quick Swatch Saturday! I think I'm going to do this more often... cause its fun and easy. The pics are a little easier than getting the pics for Style Saturday. So yeah.
I'd also like to mention my friend Nikki6543 she does Swatch Sunday's on her Periscope and she does a lot of great swatches on her blog. Her swatches are much more professional than mine lol... this is just kind of to give you an idea. This is what I do when I get a palette or a lipstick or something home, this is what I do first... so yeah. This is just my first impression just from swatching it, It may be very different when I use it... but this is my initial reaction based on swatches.
So here's the top row... I'm super impressed from these swatches! Haven't used it at all yet, literally just got it in the mail and swatched it... so yeah. No primer or setting spray or anything to amp these up... just raw, bad swatches. Lol. That gold is really exciting and the other colors aren't bad at all either!
I think all of these have shimmer. The last one looks a little like a satin on my skin... but the other 2 are shimmery. In the next row we have some mattes...
And once again... I'm excited! The light colors don't show up that well... I'm pale so these would probably benefit from a primer. They aren't as bad in person. This is in bad lighting and I have flash on because without flash it looked way to yellow. I'm super excited for that matte color!!! It looks really nice!
And this is the cheek row. There are 2 highlights and a blush. And these are exciting also! I like that it has 2 highlights because you could really use them for eyes or cheeks... and Lorac has some of the best blushes and this one is really good and its pretty.
Overall I'm super impressed with this palette just based on swatches! I can't wait to use it, I think it'll be really impressive. This is available for $18 at Nordstrom it is an anniversary sale exclusive... but between you and me... you can probably find it at Nordstrom Rack and Hautelook if you miss out on the sale... so don't be too anxious to get this if you can't. I had a $10 credit for Nordstrom because Nouveaucheap mentioned a free rewards program you could join and it would give you that credit during the anniversary sale. So I paid about 9.50 for this... and it was definitely worth that and then some I think. The packaging is also gorgeous!
This is great for travel, it would make a great gift... I think if you're looking to do giveaways on your account this would be good (I was thinking of doing that... but giveaways can get messy and I don't think I'm even popular enough to deal with the mess... lol.)
But yeah! Swatches don't lie... or do they? Maybe we'll find that out on Friday? We'll see lol.
