Monday Musts: 8.29.16
1) Coastal Scents Revealed Palette- Total rediscovered palette that I'm really really happy I rediscovered. I just haven't reached for this in a really long time and I wanted to try it again and then I really liked my makeup look with it so much so that the next day I didn't really have to do my makeup... but I wanted to just to use this palette. And that is a feeling I haven't had in a long time! Its just very versatile, I've done a few different looks wit this. Its nothing unique... but its nice and it lasts quite a long time too!
2) Wet n Wild Color Icon Trio in I'm Getting Sunburned- I was impressed by this this week. It didn't last me all that long, but it might have been the primer I was using (the Elf stick primer) along with the Pur Minerals Eye Polish in Cashmere... my friend Terri Lee recommended the Elf Glitter glue with wet n wild shadows. She knows all the eyeshadow tricks, so I'm going to have to check that out. Plus... these are easy to reapply if you really want to take it with you and reapply.
3) Elf Eye Primer and Liner Sealer- This has been impressing me a lot lately. The eye base is pretty good and I used the Liner Sealer along with the brown color in I'm Getting Sunburned and it made it SOOO easy to put the liner on and it lasted all day. My shadow didn't really last all day that day... but my liner did! I had a long day that day and forgot to take my makeup off until later at night. The liner lasted really well all day and it surprisingly didn't bother me at all... so it was great!
4) Revlon Photoready Skinlights in Pink Light- I've been using this a lot and really liking it as a highlight... not much else to mention about this but it was really nice.
5) Tarte Energy Noir Palette - I did a really pretty look with this on Friday for my friends party... and I loved the blush and I loved the way the look turned out. The shadows didn't last that long though, which was sad. Again... same primer combo... so maybe there are some shadows that just doesn't work with. I think the Cashmere might be affecting it. It didn't get me excited about using it the way that the Coastal Scents Revealed Palette did... but it was nice.
That is it. Even though I feel like it was a fail week, I still found some okays in with the fails that I did enjoy this week. Good week for the drugstore though!
