Rediscovered Gem: Maybeline Master Hi-Light Blushes
I used one of these the other day and I forgot how much I loved these blushes! I guess the way I arranged my make up made it harder for me to see them. Plus I kind of like the cream blushes from Maybeline, especially for the summer time... But these are really really nice.
I have two different shades. I have the Bronzer shade in light bronze and that gives a really nice glow to the skin without being overly bronzed. It just looks nice and natural. I also have the pink rose shade, which is what I used the other day and what inspired the whole re-obsession with it. I haven't used it in a while but they're really the perfect pigmentation for a blush with a really nice shine as well. A lot of people complain when blushes aren't that pigmented... But I like a lighter pigmentation when it comes to blush because those are easier to apply and you can build it up. I like the look of a more natural glow, so this may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I really enjoy it.
And I heard EmilyNoel83 talk about it on YouTube, and that kind of made me want to reach for it more. She described it as having an "adult glitter" because there is some sparkle in it but it isn't too much that you'll look like a child when you put it on or something. It's just a nice little sparkle that a grown up can wear lol.
I've kind of been wanting to buy more of these, but I haven't really been looking at it when I've been shopping recently. I don't know. They have a nice mauve color and a coral color and I think something that's just called nude... I may have to buy some more of these cause they all look nice. And I've seen a lot of different skin tones wearing these different colors and they've looked good on everyone.
I do have to say these are a little chalky and powdery... But that doesn't bother me with a face product because it doesn't show up on your face the way a chalky eyeshadow would show up or something.
So yeah, I do like these and would definitely recommend them. Glad I rediscovered it!
