Favorite Palette Drawer- April 2020
So I thought I would continue with the favorites train and let you guys know what's in the top of my Alex 5 drawer because right now I have all of my favorite palettes or fancier palettes in there. This might change I might make it an everyday makeup drawer at some point in time but for now I kind of like having all of my favorites in one place.
First up we have the Jeffree Star Blood Sugar Palette. I'm... not the biggest fan of Jeffree Star- his videos are good, I love Shane Dawson so I wanted to give his makeup line a chance and I do really like it. This is a really pretty palette that's made really well. I did order the Conspiracy Palette- it was back in stock this week so I got it off of Beautylish because Beautylish has free shipping so that's awesome... but I got this on sale on Thanksgiving or Black Friday... it had a good sale so I wanted to try it and I really like it.
I also have the Tati Beauty Volume 1 palette. Again it's not like I'm a Tati fan or anything- I was but I just haven't been watching her videos lately. These have great formulas. There are Glitter, Metallic, Sequin and Matte formulas and 6 colors of each of those formulas. I love the layout of this palette it's really easy to use and the colors are just awesome I really like them and I'd probably buy more from Tati Beauty.
Now for 2 very fancy brands... I Have one Natasha Denona Palette- the Sunrise Palette. I love all the shades in this palette and it's a lot less than her other palettes... so I wanted to try this and I like that this is the direction the brand seems to be going in a little bit at least. The Love Palette is the same price. I've swatched and Thought about buying the Sunset palette numerous times but $129 is just too much. If I ever win the lottery or if I get a sephora gift card or something I would consider buying that but... I don't even think I would then.
Another brand I like that's too much Pat McGrath, I have the Mothership Sublime Bronze Temptation Palette. I love this palette- but I've heard from my friend on Instagram who's bio literally says she's a Pat McGrath fan says this is her least favorite palette from Pat McGrath... so maybe check with the experts first- but I like this one a lot.
Okay so I have 2 palettes that are the only ones from these bigger brands that have made it in the favorites drawer... these are limited edition so I don't think you can get them anymore... but the Tarte Mermaid Palette and the Smashbox Drawn In Decked Out Shadow, Contour and Blush Palette. These are just kind of in here because I didn't really have another place for them. This is also sort of the biggest palette drawer but these definitely were favorites when I first got them. The Smashbox Palette I rediscovered a few months after getting it and it was really nice and easy to use and I just couldn't put it down! The Tarte Mermaid Palette is another one I love- the packaging just makes me happy and I really love any look you can do with it. I brought it out recently and did a look with it and it's beautiful!
I also just saw I have the Violet Voss Holy Grail Palette in here! I love the colors in this... I did a look with this recently I wasn't crazy about but I really wanted to do another look with it soon because I do really love this palette. It's a really good one!
Okay now for the brands I have multiples of... which is crazy but... this is the type of stuff I buy for fun. I have stopped A LOT lately... not this week per se but in general lol. I'm a little crazy with some brands so... just keep that in mind.
Okay... so first off my favorite... Huda Beauty. I have 4 of her larger palettes and 5 of her mini palettes... I have a problem lol. Anyway I have the Rose Gold Remastered, Mercury Retrograde, Desert Dusk and New Nude Palettes. I think the New Nude is my favorite one but... All of these are just so good. I can't recommend them enough. The Mini Palettes I have called the obsessions palettes are Ruby, Topaz, Smokey, Warm Brown, and Mauve... I definitely didn't need all of these. The Topaz and Warm Brown are similar... but I really like both and I'm happy with them.
Next up the Naked Palettes... I don't have all of them, but I Have the Naked 1, Naked 3, Naked Heat, Naked Cherry and Naked Honey palettes. I think the Naked Honey might be my favorite of these, but these are ones I use quite a lot.
And last but not least... The Anastasia Palettes. I probably have too many of these... at least 2 were gifts! I don't have a problem! I have some from when they pretty much only did limited edition palettes and for a while I was collecting all of their palettes and I think I have everything from when they released the Self Made Palette up to the Alyssa Edwards I think? I don't have any of the large Norvina Palettes... but let me just list them... Self Made, Makeup by Mario, Modern Renaissance, Subculture, Prism, Soft Glam, Norvina, Sultry, Alyssa Edwards, Jackie Aina, and Amrezy palettes.... that's a lot. I kind of stopped collecting them because I didn't really want the Carly Bybel Palette- it's pretty but I feel like it's similar to the Norvina and some of these other ones.
Alright... that is way too much makeup for someone who usually can't get up in the morning to do her makeup... but...these spark joy for me and if you want some recommendations for the sephora sale or any other sale... these are what I'd recommend!
OHHH and I have my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette in here too!
Bye!
