Frugal, Fancy, Fragrance, Fashion, Favorites Friday 4.24.20
Frugal
Alright- I have a few frugal favorites here, this was a big week for favorites... but I did this Thrifty Thursday and that just led to a lot of favorites.
So first off OBVIOUSLY the Essence Spice Up Your Life Palette. This is amazing! This might be the best palette that is probably the easiest thing to get right now maybe? I think I'll do a blog on great makeup that's really easy to get... let me know if you're interested in that... but this is just so great. I love the color selection and the formula of this palette is really great too. I had just done a look with a dud Essence product and I think Essence is a great brand and I felt negative giving it such a bad review... so I knew this was good and I wanted to show it and man- it's REALLY good! I love it!
Next up- the Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream. I'm trying to finish this up because I only have a little bit left- I'd totally repuchase this in the summer if I can leave the house. I think it's a better coverage than the new Clean Fresh Skin Milk foundation. I would say this BB Cream is better for oily skin and the Skin Milk Foundation is better for dry skin.
And last but DEFINITELY not least- the Colourpop Super Shock Highlight in the shade Smokin Whistles... Guys... SHOP YOUR STASH! This is something I just found because I've been rearranging my makeup and shopping my stash and it was right out front and I just tried it and WOW! THIS IS THE BEST HIGHLIGHT! And Ulta had it on sale so I picked up 4 more... and they all kinda look the same- but it SPARKS JOY OKAY! Lol.
Fancy
So I have 2 Fancy favorites this week. First up- the Senegence Lashsense Mascara... this is really nice and it's very black and just gives my lashes a really pretty fluttery look. I really love it! It's a nice mascara!
And I had one of my most drugstore palettes with my fanciest palette as my 2 favorites right here... the Pat McGrath Sublime Mothership palette in Bronze Temptation. This formula is fantastic and I really really love this palette. I definitely want to try more from Pat McGrath- but it's just such an expensive brand I don't really think I will. But this is great and I loveeeee it.
Fragrance
Jimmy Choo Blossom. I moved all of my fragrances recently and rediscovered this fragrance... and it is amazing! It's awesome for Spring and I loveee it!
Fashion
I have these gold circle hoops that I got from Madison and Mallory. These are really pretty and very simple but add so much to an outfit! I love these!
Favorite
So my favorite of the week is the book I've been reading called The Two Lives of Lydia Bird by Josie Silver. Lydia Bird is engaged to the man she's been in love with for forever and all of a sudden he passes away tragically in a car accident. After several months of sleepless nice, she finally decides to take a sleeping pill and go to sleep and she sees him again as if he had never passed in her sleep. I'm about halfway done with it and I'm really loving it but it is a sad book.
Alright I hope you guys have had a good week- I'm still going to have that Thrifty Thursday with my drugstore favorites on Thursday hopefully... I know I said I would for a while now and I haven't but... yeah!
