Battle of the Primers #2 Maybeline Babyskin and Benefit Porefessional
Combo#1 Benefit Porefessional and Covergirl Ready, Set Gorgeous- I didn't love this combo actually. This foundation is similar to the Covergirl Stay Fabulous foundation but I love this one and I didn't love the other one. It looks a. Little cakey with this primer I think because it is tinted. I just wasn't a fan of the way these two work together, which sucks because I think this is my favorite foundation and I want to use up the expensive primer! Lol.
Combo #2 Maybeline Babyskin and Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous- I actually really like this combo a lot. I was surprised since I really didn't like it with the Porefessional, but I guess because this is a clear gel it doesn't look the same as a tinted version. It hydrates better and makes everything look more natural. Do recommend!
Combo #3- Rimmel Stay Matte and Maybeline Babyskin- this is a great combo. It gives you hydration and keeps you matte at the same time! I've used this at school, all around probably this is the first primer I had ever bought and I really liked it for that.
Combo#4- Rimmel Stay Matte and Benefit Porefessional- I think I like this just a smidge more, but it is quite similar. I really like the Stay Matte foundation and this primer might be the perfect match for it. It doesn't look cakey and it looks matte but keeps me hydrated again. I think my pores look the most minimized with this combo.
Combo#5 Loreal Truemagic liquid powder foundation and Maybeline Babyskin- Mambo Number 5! Jk but that's stuck in my head now. This isn't the worst but it wasn't my favorite. I just thought I didn't love the foundation but... Wait for it...
Combo #6-Porefessional and Truemagic- I love this combo!!!! I am wondering maybe the liquid foundation is a good idea for this primer because it worked so so beautifully with this! I am excited because when I finish this foundation I want to try Maybeline's similar foundation and I think this primer will also work greatly with that! I had such high expectations for this foundation when I tried it with the Rimmel Stay Matte that I was actually super disappointed with the Stay Matte.
Combo #5 Olay Fresh Effects and Maybeline Babyskin- After applying this I really like the way it looks, but I don't know that I really need this primer with a Bb Cream. I think with this particular BB Cream at least, the Stay Matte works best because it makes me stay matte but I still have the deweyness of the Bb cream. This does make the Bb cream look a bit better, but I don't like the way it feels because it makes the Bb cream feel like I'm using a lot of product. It doesn't give it the nice natural feel and for that I don't recommend this.
Combo #6-Olay and Porefessional- this looked a little more natural but it also gave more coverage I think. It looked very perfected I was very impressed with this. This is perfect for summer if you're going out and you want your face to look perfected. Really like this combo.
Both primers with Loreal true match Lumi- I like the way these both look, it's very similar though. I wasn't amazed by the way either of them looked, but they both looked very nice. The Babyskin was tested in he heat and at work and it didn't hold up that well... Whereas I felt the Porefessional made it last longer. I wasn't wowed by either of them. I really like this foundation and I think primers give it longevity... But meh I can do without them with this foundation also. I just use it to last longer.
Overall... I gotta say I liked the Porefessional better with all of them. I'm totally not sure it's worth the money because these two are so similarm but really the Porefessional looked better with most of them except the Covergirl and Loreal Truematch. Not sure. Overall both worked really well, but for some different things. I'll probably repurchase both at some point in my life.. Obviously I have a lot of primers to go through first.
I'm not sure if I should review the Too Faced Primed and Poreless just because I don't think there is enough in my sample tube for all of the foundations...But maybe.
Byeeeee!
