Coastal Scents Revealed Palette Unboxing/ First impression
First off the packaging it came in was really nice! It came in a pink envelope with lots of bubble wrap. It came with a cute little I heart makeup bumper sticker, which I put right on the new storage box I got from Target that I've been keeping my make up in. It also came with a little sampler of the Revealed 2 Palette, which came with 4 shadows and gives you a $5 off coupon for u to use if you wanted to buy the Revealed 2 Palette. Which is really a nice idea. I heard that Coastal Scents sent that out for when the Revealed 2 Palette was released for you to get the original revealed palette, but I didn't know whether or not they would do that with this palette. I think they do usually give some sort of sample with it, I've seen people get little hot pot samples, those are their single shadows and samples of their soap... But this is really nice. It's a nice little mini mini sampler that will give you a full look and some idea of what the shadows will be like. I also swatched these shadows and have an opinion on them too!
I love everything about this palette so far and I haven't even tried it yet! I thought it would be really big because there are 20 good sized eyeshadows in here, but it isn't huge. It's so nice and sleek. That might be because the colors don't have names and there is no mirror in the palette either. Some slight drawbacks, but I'm not complaining because it's so nice and compact that it will work great for travel and easy to store. It also has a really amazing magnet closure. A lot of palettes don't have a very strong magnet because they have mirrors and are a little bulkier all around, but this is really good because it's so strong! I thought it would be in a cheapy type of package, but it's really nice.
I also love that you can get a lot of looks with this one palette. This is supposed to basically contain a lot of dupes for the Urban Decay Naked and Naked 2 palettes. I don't have either of those palettes, but basically the Naked is warmer toned and the Naked 2 is cooler toned. This has both warm and cool tones, which is good. I think warm and cool tones are both nice, I think I like cool tones more, but I like to use warm shades and it's good to have in my collection. The shadows are also amazingly pigmented with just a small touch of my hand. While I was opening up the little sampler of the revealed 2 I touched one of the shadows just a bit, barely touching it really and a lot of color showed up on my finger. They're super nice and you can really do any type of look with this.
Speaking of the Sampler Pack, I do happen to have the Naked 3 and I noticed some very familiar colors in the sampler. They have a gold color that looks exactly like Trick, a light pinky brown that looks identical to what is probably my favorite most used color in the palette- Burnout, a dark taupey brown that looks a lot like Liar and a matte brown that kind of looks like a matte version of Darkside without as much pigmentation though. I got this palette because I've heard people compare it to the other 2 Urban Decay Palettes, and I kind of wanted those, but didn't want to pay over $100 for the palettes just to have a complete Naked collection. Now I feel like I do have the whole collection, but without the ugly price tag! Lol. If I like these shadows maybe I'll even check out the Revealed 2 now that I have my little $5 off thing. It shipped really fast too. I ordered it on Friday at like 1 AM in the morning and it got here today! It was 5.47 for priority shipping, it may depend on wear you live. It ships from Florida and I live in NJ, so it's not super far... But still really nice. They do free shipping over $50 but I haven't tried anything else from them yet and idk if I need $50 of make up! Lol
Byeeee!
