Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette Review!

So I mentioned I had been lusting after this for quite a while now and it had finally driven me mad that I do not yet own it and I had an Ulta coupon and a mall near me just opened an Ulta... So I got the palette! I was going to buy the Lorac Pro 2 Palette also, but  they didn't have any! Someone else had asked and the woman opened the drawer and everything. I did get to swatch those shadows so I'll probably buy and review that sometime soon... But now I'm happy with this new baby! Lol!

So so far I love it! It's not just your plain run of the mill neutral palette because it does have a pink and a purple and a burgundy color that are unexpected in a neutral palette and really stunning. It comes in the cutest packaging, the tin is in the shape of a chocolate bar and they recently repackaged it to make it slimmer. The eyeshadows are all made with real cocoa powder and they have an actual chocolate smell. And the scent lingers a bit on the eyes as well.

What I like about this palette is that it has a good mix of mattes and shimmers. I have the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette which is mostly shimmers and the Stila In The Light Palette, which also has a lot of shimmers and some mattes with glitter if that makes sense lol. This one has a little bit of everything. I'm slightly concerned with Fallout because I do have another Too Faced Palette that has a bit of fallout and I have seen the tester palettes in the stores that usually get a lot of fallout... I guess with everyone swatching it all day it's bound to happen. The way these shadows are so close together, it may be more of an issue. I know people say it doesn't have as much fallout as Urban Decay... But I've never had a problem with fallout from Urban Decay at all. So weird? Lol

I was super impressed with the pigmentation of the shadows themselves as well. Obviously I haven't tried them all out yet and I probably will try more out through the course of the week. What I did today for my eye look was put Champagne Truffle (the shimmery highlight in case you lost the names), salted caramel (matte orangey brown) in the crease then I put some Marzipan (shimmery light pinkish silvery brown) on my eyelids more towards the center and I added Semi Sweet (darker matte brown) into the crease also. I think if I hadn't been working and I had more time I would have put candied Violet on the lower lashline also because it's just sooo pretty! I really loved the way the colors turned out, I had no trouble blending and it just looked so sooo pretty on the lid. I'm obsessed! Will definitely play around with these some more.

Overall I'm very happy with my purchase. I do think it's worth the $49... But I still think it's a good idea to wait around for a sephora or Ulta 20 percent off everything coupon or do the HSN first time customer thing and get it for $29... I'm not a fan of ordering things online so I didn't do that... But I did order another palette online that I will certainly review once I get that!

Byeeee!

Also- I will do more looks with this and tell you more thoughts on it the more I use it. I'm not going to have it with my July Favorites... But it's probably an August Favorite. If it performs well toward the end of the month you will know. I'll try doing a faces of the week also! I guess I may have jumped the gun saying it's worth $49... But it does come with 16 eyeshadows so it is a lot of product!
