Fourth of July Nails, Make Up and Outfit
Heyyy guys, so this is kind of last minute but this is something you could totally pull together last minute. The nails took me a long time... but if you can draw a straight line better than I can, it will probably take you less time.
I guess I'll start with the nails because thats what I am most excited about. I used OPI's Animalistic, which is a sparkly red (from their first muppet collection), Sally Hansen's Pacific Blue, Some Sinful Colors Glitter flakes that I got around Christmas time at Wallgreens, and I think it was Color Club's nail art strier in White. I also used Orly's Bonder as a basecoat and Seche Vite as a topcoat and the Sally Hansen Nail Art kit with the stripers and dotting tool in it.
First I did my thumb and Index Finger. I used my base coat and then put on the Pacific Blue and the Sinful Colors Glitter Top Coat and that was it! I waited a bit before moving on to the red. You can use any colors that you have for this also, Any blue or glitter will do, and if you don't want the glitter, I've seen people use a dotting tool or a bobby pin with a white polish and just do polka dots. It's super cute either way.
For the Stripes of the flag I just went in with the red first and then I took the Sally Hansen Nail Striper and used the other nail striper to make the white stripes. This took me a long time, but I liked the result. My Right Hand is a little messier... but hey the flag will just be waving on that hand lol. I used Seche Vite over that also.
I should also tell you my troubles making this nail art. I got Pacific Blue in my eye... which didn't hurt all that badly actually. It was a scary few seconds when I was running to get it out, but after I got it out it was okay. It did bother me to put my contacts in today, so there's that also. And I think I'm allergic to the white polish I used. It's not bad as long as I don't get it on my skin, but I'm probably not going to use it again. If you're sensitive to paint, you might have this problem also.
And now the Face:
I used my Benefit Porefessional and my Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous foundation. I used my too faced chocolate solei bronzer and my Icing Matte Blush on my cheeks. I also took a little of my physicians formula shimmer strips as a highlight and I set everything with my Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeos powder.
For my eyes I used Maybeline color tattoo in Inked in pink and my Stila in the light Palette. I took Bare all over my lids and Sandstone in the Crease. I took Kitten and used that to highlight the eyes and in the inner third. I then used my Rimmel Scadaleyes kohl eyeliner in dark blue and put that on my lower lash line. I then went over it with a sephora glitter liner. I used my new Loreal miss Manga Mascara on my upper and lower lashes and then I used my Nyx Butter Gloss in Cherry Pie.
For my hair I just threw it up in a ponytail and added a tiny blue Bow with white polka dots on it.
For my outfit, which I don't have a pic of, I'm wearing an American Eagle T shirt that has all different colors and a flag on it. Just a basic logo tee and a blue hoodie with white stars on it that is actually a men's hoodie but I likes it a lot. I'm wearing all my Alex and ani bracelets, a moonstone looking ring from American Eagle and my moon necklace and earrings are also from American Eagle. And I have old navy Bermuda shorts and a pair of rose gold gladiator sort of sandals from old navy as well.
That is it! I hope everyone has a great holiday! I'm going to see the fireworks in NYC actually today which is why I kind of did more than usual. My dad works close to wear we can see the Ny and Nj fireworks, so that's exciting.
Byeeee! Happy fourth!!!
