Drugstore Makeup Haul January 2020- BRAND NEW and Not So New

Okay guys... I'm kind of excited that I've picked up a lot at the drugstore recently! I won't go into too much detail on the products... but I did want to do a haul- and I'm actually going to include some colourpop things in here too... so it's drugstore and some colourpop things I've picked up from Ulta and on their website- but this is all affordable stuff and for the most part it's all brand new.

Some of these things I've had for a while and maybe just got around to using them... and some of these I haven't used at all... so let's just get into everything!

One thing I seem to always buy is the Neutrogena Individually wrapped Makeup Remover Wipes. I just love these- I like keeping them in my purse or just putting a few in a makeup bag or whatever... plus I use this taking off my makeup at the end of the day too. It's just a good way to remove your makeup and when I got this at Ulta it was 30% off I think... so I had to order it!

Next thing I ordered from Ulta that I've tried before is the Essence Lash Princess Mascara. This is usually a favorite of mine- but I wanted to try some different Essence Mascaras too and I think I heard Jessica Braun talk about the I Heart Extreme line and there was a 2 pack of them on sale at ulta so I got that! It comes with the Blue I heart extreme Curl and Volume and the Pink I heart extreme Crazy Volume. So far I've tried the Curl and Volume and I like it a lot!

They also had a deal recently on their Revlon Superlustrous lipstick line and I love those lipsticks so I ordered 6 and then I ordered a 7th one on my more recent Ulta order... these just work really well and I feel like I need to do a whole post swatching these colors and talking about them more.

Also in my most recent Ulta order I ordered the things that 1) were the best price of things at the drugstore and 2) were newer releases that intrigued me from the drugstore. There are A BUNCH of cream blushes that are out right now- but I only ordered one because it was the best price.

And that one that I ordered was the Maybelline Cheek Heat Gel Cream blush. I really like the cream blushes from Flower Beauty and Physicians Formula... but those are kind of expensive for not a lot of product. I was curious to see how this slightly cheaper Maybelline one would hold up. Milani and Covergirl came out with similar products to this as well... but They were 9.99 and over so... I thought I'd give this one a try instead.

Maybelline also has a new palette out called the Nudes of New York Palette. I was kind of curious about this palette because I do think Maybelline has improved on their formula a lot since they first released the Nudes palette years ago and this looks like it is trying to be that palette- but hopefully with a better formula. I did not dislike the Nudes Palette- I actually wore that a lot- it was simple and I got good looks with it. Some of my favorite shadows of 2019 were actually from Maybelline as well- I kept using one of their Single Shadows with their Matte Bar eyeshadow palette... and I do also really like their City Mini palettes- so I think I'm going to use this and maybe shop my stash a little and break out some of those older maybelline palettes to play with again and compare.

Another Maybelline thing I tried recently was the Dream Radiant Liquid foundation with Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen. I've had this for a little longer than everything else and I've just been getting back to wearing more makeup... and I do feel like my skin looks nice after I wear this. It's a pretty good color match and it's just a nice product overall.

Another new drugstore foundation that I ordered was the Covergirl Clean Fresh Skin Milk foundation. I've tried a few covergirl foundations in the past and liked them but haven't repurchased them... but I feel like they've reformulated since going Cruelty Free and I've been impressed by them lately... so I thought I'd give this a try.

I also bought a Revlon PhotoReady Rose Glow Hydrating and Illuminating primer. I got this at Target just on a whim... I think it's new? But I'm not sure- I haven't seen it recently. I really like it. The tube isn't all that easy to get liquid out of but... other than that it's really nice and it feels hydrating and it does work to make my makeup last longer. And I think it gives a nice glow.

I also picked up the L'oreal Bambilash mascara. I got the waterproof one in Black- usually I'd say to get Blackest Black- but I think the Black one works well too... next time I'll probably get Blackest Black. This is a really nice mascara that makes my lashes look really long and it's waterproof so it stays on FOREVER! It's pretty great!

I got some things from a discount store also that I kind of want to talk about. One is the BH Cosmetics Ultimate Matte 42 color shadow palette. This is all matte and mostly neutral shades. I used this once so far- and I liked it. Not the best matte shades ever- but it's nice to have this big of a palette of really great matte colors.

I also got a Real Techniques Brush Crush Galaxy Makeup set recently. I'm not sure what it's called- but I'll try to include a picture here. It's in the star packaging and the set came with a sponge, a powder brush, a small brush I've been using for concealer and under eye powder and a brush that I think is for eye makeup but it's a little big so I've been using it for contour. My favorite thing is the sponge. I'm definitely going to get some more sponges from this line because they're very tiny and they just work really well.

Last but not least we have my colourpop stuff!

The only thing I ordered from Colourpop's website was the Safiya Nygaard Lip collection. I didn't get the bundle because it sold out and all the lipsticks were only available individually... so I did get every color individually except the shade Brucie because I didn't think I would really get use out of it. I've worn Berry Me in Lipsticks and Mrs. Norris so far and I really like them. I love Colourpop's Creme Lux Lipstick line- I feel like these are the best lasting Lipstick Lipsticks for an affordable price and they're really comfortable and great. These lipsticks were on their final restock- so I'm not sure if it will be relelvant if I do a post on them... but I think I still will out of support for Safiya and her channel... hopefully she can make more products with Colourpop because it seems they had fun with this collection.

Next up in Ulta's Store I got the Frozen Anna Collection. This came with an Eyeshadow Palette, a Creme Lux Lipstick in the shade Going North, a lipgloss in the shade Free Spirit and a glitter gel in the shade Waterfall. Anna is my favorite character from Frozen and I loved Frozen 2 even more than Frozen 1... so I had to get it. The funny thing is when I got it originally and checked out at the store- I got an empty box! So I had to exchange it the next day... and the girl that waited on me almost charged me extra because I used a coupon the day before... and that pissed me off. Nice girl, and I like that Ulta... but I'm not paying extra when you gave me an empty box when I used my coupon lol. She seemed like maybe she was just recently promoted or just started cashiering or something. ANYWAY I kinda like this palette and I used the lipgloss yesterday and I liked it but I don't really think this is a must have. I need to try it more- but my first impression didn't leave me like "OMG I NEED TO TRY THIS AGAIN"

Also... I don't know if I would buy a colourpop gloss on its own because this had a brush tip applicator instead of a spongetip and those never really work right.

Last but not least from this haul- the last thing I purchased in my new drugstore stuff at Ulta haul- was the Butter Me Up Pressed Powder Palette. I feel like maybe because of the pink and purple colors in this palette they can't call it an "eyeshadow palette" but it is. It's pretty pinks and purples and it seemed like something I needed in my life. It called to me and I had an Ulta Gift Card so I heard the calling with delight. Lol. I'm excited to try this!

That is everything! Let me know what you want to see- I'm sure I'll show a lot of stuff!
Bye!
