Beach Bag/Pool Essential! Summer 2015
Well now that it is officially unofficially summer I thought it'd be cool to share some of my essentials with you guys! If you're going to a beach or a pool, these are things you might want to pack that hopefully won't melt in the heat!
I pretty much always where my bathing suit to the beach and I like bringing a dress cover up... which I'll usually where there too. I get shorter dresses from Old Navy cause they're cheap and easy to use for this, but places like forever 21 and beach stores also have good cover ups. I could probably just pack underwear and a bra and just where this after... but I don't love wearing too short dresses, so usually I'll bring a pair of shorts and a super casual light tank top also. I like having the option that if something bad happens to the shirt and pants, I could wear the dress... cause that happened once.... but its not a big thing.
Sunscreen is the most important thing. I usually bring a spray... but I feel like my arms need a little bit more than that... so I may start brining a higher spf sun lotion and also using the spray... cause I don't love laying down on a blanket at the beach... I'm not even a huge beach person to be honest... but because I don't really like laying down, I get badly burnt on one weird strip of my shoulders and it just looks weird and uneven... so I'd rather just not deal with it and self tan or be pale. Lol. And a face sunscreen also cause I don't spray my face! The sunscreen I've been using has a minion on the bottle because everything I own has a minion on it somewhere... lol.
In case there is like a shower there or if I do what I did yesterday and shower at a friends house, I bring a little thing of shower gel with me. I have a mini ulta smoothie in the Easter Eggs scent that is perfect for this... I'll probably grab some more next time I go to Ulta just because they are really good for the purpose of just using in a beach bag or whatever. They could also be used as shampoo... but...
I bring tiny shampoo and conditioner with me also! I have ones from Pantene I got a while ago and I use them kind of whenever I can for travel. If I were in a pinch I guess I could just use the Ulta ones... but since I have these I bring them. Lol. I think they were giving them out at target a few years ago and my sister grabbed a bunch. If not... you can always ask for samples of shampoos. At my Sephora they asked me once if I wanted any samples, and that would probably be a good thing to do. I also have some samples of a l'oreal shampoo I got from a giveaway that I think my friend got from Ulta's salon.
For other hair stuff, I think next time I go to the beach I will be bringing some of my Not Your Mothers products. I don't really want to bring all my Ouidad stuff... but my hair needs some help sometimes. I've used the Kinky Moves styling cream a few times and I really like it and I like the Beach Babe products... but I'd maybe just use the Kinky Moves with the Sea Salt Spray cause that will work nicely. And a comb! I may get a comb just to keep in like a travel bag because I can't brush my hair or it'll be really messed up!
And if it still looks bad... FLOWER CROWN! Lol this just looks so cute your whole outfit will look chic and no one will pay attention to your weird sunburn or your bad hair. Lol. Just a headband will do if you don't really want a full flower crown... but yeah.
I might bring some jewelry... but just basic stuff. A necklace and earrings... nothing I care too much about that I'd be really upset if I lost it... but nothing that will break. And I just keep those in little sache type things. I'd probably just bring stud earrings... but dangly earrings always make an outfit look fancier.
I honestly probably wouldn't bring any make up... but if I just wanted to throw something on... maybe just a good single shadow look. I like the Milani Bella Eyes and I'd probably just use Bella Champagne all over the lid. If I didn't think it would melt... maybe a BB Cream or something... but usually my face needs a break after being in the sun. If I were going somewhere fancy after or something I'd probably want it... but not necessary. And probably a waterproof mascara (or a mascara with Ulta's Rain Coat Top Coat) andddd a lipgloss of some sort. I actually hear the Maybeline Fit Me Concealer is good and can be used in place of foundation... maybe I'll try that just cause that would be easy enough... but yeah. Not even really likely I'd put any of it on after.
I'd definitely bring a body spray. I used Victoria Secret's Pink Warm and Cozy last time I went to the beach... this is a great scent and everyone seems to like it... and its pretty longwearing, so I like it.
Also next time I go, I'll probably just bring aloe with me cause... I was out all day last time I went to the beach and I needed aloe!
I'd also bring a towel... duh. A bag or something for wet bathing suits... and maybe a book. Probably not if I were there with my friends... which I usually am... but otherwise I would. And probably food. Lol I like having sandwiches on the beach. They're easy and yummy. And definitely something cold to drink.
Byeeee! Hope this was helpful! This is everything!
