Current Make Up Bag: June 5th 2015
I haven't done one of these in a while! Basically its kind of like a shop my stash and also a way for me to try out some new stuff. This is what I'll be using... until I switch things up... lol. This is mostly all newer things, but some things I want to kind of re-use and stuff like that too... so thats what I'm gonna do!
I'll start off with eye products cause there are a lot here and... thats the most exciting part probably! So Yeah! Lol.
I just got the Tarte Showstopper Palette. I've been LOVING this. You know when you find a palette with your kinds of colors and you think "ohhh this was made for me." This might be it for me. I'm in love with all the colors. I love the blush and the highlight and I like the bronzer a lot too... this is just really nice and I'm sooo happy I got it! Tarte eyeshadows are some of my faves.
Next I have a couple of drugstore palettes. One is the Maybeline Nudes. I know most people don't like this palette... but I like it and I'm glad cause its not expensive and it gets the Shannon seal of approval. To me, I like it better than the L'oreal La Palettes because it actually stays on my lids. So I wanted to start using that again. Its so good for the summer too that it just seemed like a good idea to use it.
Next is my Wet n Wild Fergie Palette that I won in MakeupbySheaa's giveaway (go follow her! She's having another giveaway soon! There are some Pixi Products in it! Pixi is really good! Lol) This shade is Maldives Sky. It has a lot of pretty blues and purples. I haven't really used this yet, I've played around with it a little and the shadows feel very high quality... but I still don't know if I like them as much as other Wet N Wild Palettes. But still, once I use it more, I'll let you know. Its good stuff! Lol.
The next three eyeshadows were also from that giveaway and I haven't used them much now. There are 2 shadows from Prestige, which is a brand they have at Ulta and Harmon that I hadn't tried before this giveaway. One is this beautiful purple shade. I've used this before and it is pigmented, easy to use and has good staying power. I took off a contact and it stayed on... so thats a good test! Lol. This color is called The Chase by the way. I really like it. And then I have a blue called Out Of The Blue, which I still haven't used yet. I'm not someone that wears a whole lot of blues... but I love this and I have plans for it lol. Its so trendy right now to have blue eyeshadow, that I need to figure out how to use it without looking like Mimi from Drew Carey.
And the next is this really lovely Periwinkle blue shade from Scott Barnes. The shade is called Mermaid... absolutely gorgeous. I have plans for this shade... you will see! lol. I'm excited. So pretty!
And the last shadow I have is the Milani Bella Eyes in Bella Champagne. I've just been loving this as a highlight lately. It works well as a companion to the Tarte palette because there isn't really a great shadow highlight in there, it just has the face highlight... which of corse you could use for whatever... but I just like having this too. Its less white than the Tarte highlight and I just like it better for the lid. This also makes a good cheek highlight... and actually this is how I'll transition into cheek products cause I think I have a thing this is a dupe for...
Yep. This is a close dupe for Mac's Soft and Gentle! I found a few dupes for soft and gentle, now that I have it in my collection... I'd do a whole post on that... but I already said Bella Champagne is a dupe for Stila Kitten/Urban Decay Sin... so its pretty much that same concept. Elf has a highlight that is pretty much the same called Blushed gems. I think one in the Pixi by Petra palette is similar and the Becca Watts Up is also similar, just in a cream form. But I love the Soft and Gentle... so that is going in here.
Also, the Tarte palette has a blush, bronzer and highlight... but I still put other options in here. Although I am in love with that blush from tarte... I also grabbed Nars Orgasm cause I think this will look pretty for summer and I really like the color and formula of this!
And I grabbed NYC's Sunny because I think this will be similar to the Park Avenue Princess Bronzer and I just wanted to compare them... actually... lemme swatch. Yeah they look pretty similar. Park Ave princess is a little more pigmented and it seems a little more matte... Sunny looks a little dewy actually. Which is weird cause when I have Park Ave Princess on by itself, it looks pretty glowy... hmmm. Anyway,
I do have some eye stuff that isn't shadows that I forgot about... so lets talk about those. I have the UD Primer Potion. I'm almost done with this and I love it... but I want to use it up!
I also have the Milani Shadow Eyes... I love this stuff. It stays on my lids and waterline all day! Plus its good on its own... I'm a fan.
And I have the Stila Mint Julep smudgestick... I think I'm almost done with this too and I like the way mint looks in the waterline... so I grabbed that!
And for Mascara the Ulta Twice as Nice. I like this, I don't love it as much as the Amped Lashes... but its good and I want to give it more use.
For Under the eyes I have Benefit's Erase Paste cause its really my only concealer. Lol.
Speaking of Benefit... I also have some primers! The Benefit Porefessional. I'm almost done with this and I'm not a huge fan of it... and I have too many primers... so I want to finish it up!
And the Rimmel Stay Matte, which is my favorite thing for dewy bb creams... Almost done with that too!
And for Foundations I have one Foundation and One BB Cream. The L'oreal Truematch Lumi Foundation. I really like this stuff. Its also sort of almost done, and I want to use it up... lol the foundation products are all pretty much gone.
My Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream... My Holy Grail! Its discontinued... but I have back ups lol. This is also really easy to use and I'm just in love with it. I also have my L'oreal Infallible Setting Spray... which is bae. "Setting Spray... do you mean setting bae?" Lol I love this. I also love the Pixi Glow Mist which idk if I can fit in here... but I know I'll use it so I'm mentioning it.
And I have a bunch of lip products... which I usually don't include! But I am. And I'll probably use others and throw some just in my purse and stuff like that too. Buxum Shannon is in my purse. I love that color, it is my favorite... and most likely what I'll use the most... and that is almost done... but I have a lot of stuff so yeah. Wherever that is, its staying right now.
The Maybeline Color Elixer in Rebellious Raspberry. I really like these and I like the color. I don't know if I've actually worn it yet cause I've been doing so many pops of colors on my eyes, and this is a little bold for that... but this is really good and pretty. Plus I love the packaging of these! Idk. So fancy!
Next along the same "lip laquer" type of thing, I have the Milani Lip Intense Liquid Lipstick in Fiery Coral. This was also from that giveaway... but I had had this before and loved it, but somehow lost it... and I was afraid to repurchase cause I liked it so much I got all the other colors... but the other colors had a bad formula to them so I was afraid... now I might slowly repurchase the other colors... but I'm happy I have this and that the formula isn't bad! This one was my favorite color out of the bunch anyway!
Next I have the Nyx Mood gloss in Romantic Love. This is cool because it goes on clear and then transforms into the prettiest pink color for your lip chemistry I guess. Its really really pretty. This I actually had, loved and then lost for a long time and then found it again because I went through the purse I left this in... that was over a year ago I found it and I haven't been using it quite as much since then. Lol. I like it.
I also have a buxum gloss from the set I got recently. This is in the shade Alexandria... which I think is permanent... not really sure. Its a really pretty nude. And I love Buxum glosses!
There is also a Stila gloss I have that is almost used up that I'm gonna throw in a purse or something because I like it and I want to finish it. Is that weird that I want to finish things I like? Lol.

PS- for good measure... I snuck in the Wet N Wild California Roll Palette! I love this and I want to use it a little bit more!
