Beauty Collection Pt. 1- Hair Products Drawer

So I thought it might be helpful to talk about the way I store a lot of my beauty items/ tools. I don't have the biggest collection in the world... but its pretty big and I do have a rather small room that I'm keeping this stuff in... so I'm just going to kind of go over stuff one at a time, and tell you how I store it, why I store it that way and if I know where I got it... I'll let you know that too.

I thought I'd start out with my hair drawer because this is probably the smallest drawer and probably the one I use the most. This is just in a plastic drawer by my bedside. So its sort of a makesshift night stand... It is really convenient since I do my hair on my bed anyway... all my stuff is right there. And in case you were wondering, it is in the middle drawer. The bottom drawer is the largest and that mostly has books and stuff in it. This clearly doesn't need a huge drawer... but yeah. Its convenient.

Right now its kind of messy... so I'll keep it real and tell you some of the non beauty related stuff first... lol. I have a 3 hole punch. A sache thingy that I keep jewelry in. A Tissue... I've been under the weather... lol. My remote... I usually keep them in here because its so easy to get too. A punchbuggy change purse... A change purse my cousin got me in Rome that I used this weekend to store jewelry. Headphones... a headphone case... Hand Sanitizer.  A pen. A quarter.... okay now some of the stuff...

So this wasn't supposed to be in here either, but it is Beauty Related. My Buxum Lipgloss in Shannon. All time favorite! I was looking for this! Lol.

I have 2 One n' Only Argan Oil Treatments. I have the mini size that I got with my hair dryer and the big size that I bought as a back up... I like the small size better just cause there is a smaller spout to get the oil out of. These are my holy grail products! They make my hair so nice and smooth. I love it!

Again... this doesn't have all hair items... but it is mostly my drawer for hair. There is a Avon Nourishing Cleansing Milk in here. Its a make up remover that moisturizes also. I think you could use it just as a moisturizer... but its a better make up remover or brush cleaner. I've been mostly using it for brushes, but I like having it close by so that I can grab it when I'm about to go to sleep and remove my make up.

I have my 3 Ouidad products. I love Ouidad for curly hair. They're a pricey brand... but most of them last me a while. They also sell them in bigger sizes if you go through them a lot... that might be a better deal for you. At Beauty Plus Salon you can get good discounts on them, their website does a lot of deals and samples... they're pretty good for you to find and not have to totally pay an arm and a leg for. I use the Moisture Lock Leave in Conditioner, The Climate Control Heat and Humidity gel and the Curl Recovery Curl Defining Styling Souffle. I go through like one of the Climate Controls and Moisture Locks a year and the Curl Souffle I go through more often and I have back ups of. I've had this one since... December though and I've still got at least a month's worth left I would say... so that isn't bad.

Like I said these are for curly hair... you just put these in your hair and you "rake" through your hair with your fingers and then just shake your hair with your fingers. It keeps the curls natural and bouncy and good.

I have 3 combs. I have one really wide toothed comb. This is really good... this is expensive too though, and I stepped on a few of the teeth. 5 are missing on one side and 3 are missing on the other. This is good if you have really long thick hair. I liked it when my hair was longer. I still use it even though my hair is shorter... but I don't totally need it as much. I was going to buy a new one because of the missing teeth... but with my short hair, I don't really need it as much.

I have another wide toothed comb from Wall Mart I got a few years ago... Its purple it says its Evolove on the side. I got this when I forgot to bring the Ouidad one to school. Lol. This just has one side and its a lot smaller, but still has wide teeth... and this has held up surprisingly well. I've probably had this for like almost 5 years and its still got all its teeth and hasn't ever really gotten a ton of hair captured in it... hmmm. Thats cool. Never noticed that!

I also have a small one that isn't wide toothed but its not like one of those cheapy combs that break all the time... I think I've had this forever. I didn't use it for years, but still. Its in great shape. I think its from Avon or the Conair outlet or something... The handle is nice, hasn't worn at all. Its small enough to really get tangles out. But still big enough to be sturdy. It does have 2 sides of teeth, and they aren't really spaced. Thats pretty cool. Huh. These brushes have faired better than the expensive one... just sayin.

I have the infiniti by conair. This is a good inexpensive hairdryer... I know there are some that are like $100 and youtubers say they're amazing and the best ever... but why spend that on a hair dryer? This is probably just as good and it was like $39 maybe. Plus you can use coupons... its not a bad price. And it works really well. I don't do my hair every day, I have short hair... I really just wanted something basic that I could use well. This one is easy. It has a lot of buttons too. On the bottom there is a button to adjust it to high, low or off. The top is for Hot Warm and Cool and then at the very top it says Cold. So if you needed to use it on your pet or something, you could use it cold. Lol. I also usually leave this on my bed to cool before putting it back in the drawer.

I have the L'oreal Total Repair 5 Extraordinary Oil Nutri Oils for Dry to Coarse Hair. I like this a lot, I don't like it more than the One n Only Oil... and I used this before I got that... and that kind of changed my life. Lol. This I would use more to add shine and the others I'd use to actually make my hair soft. This will smooth it to if you wake up with flyaways or crazy hair. Its good. Not great, but I like it and I should use it more. Its probably easier to find than the One n Only too... and a little cheaper so, its good. Both are good to have, but the other is definitely better. Lol.

I have a mini Pantene shampoo. These are good for travel and I just keep them in here so that I know where it is. This is the Curly hair one. Its really good and smells really good. I've liked pretty much everything I've tried from Pantene. So this is good. I have a conditioner too.

I also have a mini Straight Sexy Hair Straightening Shampoo. I used to straighten my hair and my friend used to work at a Beauty Supply Store that was going out of business... so they could give their friends a discount on top of the sale or something. Idk if that happened or if it was just really cheap... but my mom and I got a ton of stuff from that and I got a bunch of these Straight Sexy Hair things. This is the only one I have in here... I may have used some up, thrown some out. I guess this is good if I choose to straighten it... which is funny cause I don't own a straightener and probably won't... but its good if you just use it for natural curls too oddly. And it smells good. So yeah.

I also have some moisturizers in here. Mostly lotions and Body Butters from Try Again Thursday posts that I want to use up. Lol. So I have A Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Fragrance Free Moisturizer. This I got in an Influenster Voxbox and I love it.

I have a Bath and Body Works Forever Midnight Body Cream... which I think I'll actually use after I post this lol. The smell is very strong, but it feels so luxurious when you put it on... its great.

I have Pacifica's Indian Coconut Nectar Body Butter. This is awesome. It smells awesome. I really like it especially for the summer. It is really good.

And then there is a Vanilla Bean Noel Triple Moisture Body Cream from Bath and Body Works. Love this smell. Very Christmasy but still good for winter. I love it. Lol. Very relaxing and sweet and moisturizes pretty well.

And by triple moisture I meant Ultra Shea... there is a difference. Lol.

I have a Body Butter that is pretty much empty, Its A Thousand Wishes by Bath and Body Works. I didn't want to keep this in the tub because I'm a little allergic to it. I have like one use of this left maybe... lol. I like the Bath and Body Works Body Butters... but I don't get them that often.

I have an Avon Healthy AHA Moisturizing Cream from their Foot Works line. I like this a lot. I like the footworks line a lot in general. This is good for moisturizing and keeping your feet smell free.

I have a Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs make up self tanner... I hardly use Self Tanner. This came in an Influenster Voxbox and I'm going to try it... but I haven't gotten around to it yet... so yeah. I kind of want to try Tarte's first cause I got a sample of that too... but I have a bad burn right now on my arms... so I'll wait lol.

And last but not least my Not Your Mothers products! I have the Kinky Moves Curl Defining Hair Cream... I've just started using it... not nearly as good as my Ouidad products... don't have much of an opinion yet, but first few uses... I like it, nothing special.

I also have 2 of the Beach Babe Sea Salt Sprays. I am halfway done with one, but I got another with an Ulta Order cause I'll use it soon. Love this stuff. I don't love it without the Ouidad products just cause I have dry hair and it can be a bit drying on its own... but with a moisturizing shampoo, conditioner, oil stuff like that, these products work great.

I also have the styling cream. This is a bit better for dry hair than the spray just cause I do think the cream adds some moisture... but overall I didn't like these as much without using the Ouidad products. They're nice and summery and if you get out of the pool and just want something to give a little style, this will be good for that, it gives a lot of good volume and I like it... I just think it works better with the other products. I don't use the Not Your Mothers stuff daily... but I use them pretty much daily. If I skip a step I'll skip some of these products... but I like the way they work together the best.

So that is everything. I'm gonna put this stuff back in my drawer... and yeah! Thats it lol!

Ohhh usually I have my L'oreal Evercream Nourishing Leave in Spray... but it wasn't in here I don't think. That is my Holy grail detangler because its really affordable and it really works well. Now that I've been keeping up a little better with my hair cuts and my hair is shorter... I haven't needed it as much, but it works great! I packed it away when I went to Atlantic City (I'm writing this just a few days after but by the time I post this it'll have been a few weeks ago. lol) but its good! I recommend it!

Byeee! Hope this was helpful and not boring! Next time maybe I'll go through how I store my Palettes cause that may be a little more interesting... lol.

Byeee!
