Random Beauty Related Odds, Ends and Updates- June 2nd 2015
B-B-B-B-BONUS! I thought I'd do a bonus post today cause there are lots of things I want to talk about on here and some things I'd like to share! Yay? Yayyy! Lol I might do these every once and a while for things that don't fit anywhere else... it may be a weekly thing, this might be the only time I do it... but here we go!
Minion Shower Gel?
My parents just went to New York for the weekend, just to relax and see a show for their anniversary and one of the things they brought back for me was this ADORABLE Minion Shower Gel! They have one with 2 eyes (Dave) and one with one eye (Stuart) I have the one with 2 eyes . They're Strawberry Banana scented and they really smell amazing! It smells straight up like a smoothie. I really like it. It is also a Shampoo and a Conditioner... haven't used it for that yet... maybe I will. Maybe I won't... usually those aren't the best for your hair... but its good in a pinch and this was probably meant for kids anyway... so yeah lol. If you have kids, they will probably love this. If you're like me and you just like Minions and you like sweet scents a lot too, you'll probably love this also.
They found this at Duane Reed, they probably have it at Wallgreens too! So Yayyy!
(the eyes are holographic. Its less creepy looking in real life lol.)
Makeup Geek Caitlin Rose Eyeshadow
So I've never actually tried any MakeUpGeek Shadows before... but I may make my first order this week. Recently the company released a foiled shadow called Caitlin Rose, named after a close family friend of Marlena's that recently passed away after suffering from Batton's disease. Batton's disease is a rare disease I had never heard about until this video Marlena just made... it apparently affects children, usually if a child suffers from the disease they don't live past the age of 21 and the last few years of their lives are usually in a vegetative state.
So for every single dollar from this shadow already goes to Batton's Disease charities and to help the families with medical bills and to help girls like Caitlin Rose. And from Now (well yesterday) till Sunday, Makeupgeek is actually donating $20 for every purchase of this shadow. So just by buying one shadow, you're donating $30 to Batton's Disease (I believe the $20 is donated and the cost of the eyeshadow counts with that donation also I think) . There is no cure for this, and it seems like there is little awareness for this disease in the first place... so I think this is a great cause and I might make my first purchase from Make Up Geek, at least for this shadow. I thought I would let you guys know too. Its a really pretty purple shade, Marlena just posted a nice look using it and I just wanted to let you guys know about this good cause and if you were thinking of ordering this shade, now would be a nice time!
Naked Smoky Palette????
And in other exciting news Urban Decay released a first look at the Naked Smoky palette! I was wondering why they got rid of the Smoked Palette! Lol. Usually when companies get rid of something people really like... they bring out something a little better... and people are excited for this... for good reason. Its a Naked Palette and it looks lovely!

So the release date for this palette is July 8th, so only one month away. It is technically the 7th eye palette in the Naked Family, including the Naked on the Run and Naked Basics Palettes. A lot of people are referring to it as the Naked 4 because it is the 4th palette in this traditional Naked packaging.
I think its exciting... but I probably won't get it lol. I don't ever really do smokey eyes. I was thinking of getting the Smoked Palette when it went on sale... but I never wear smokey eyes, so it might not even be worth the $20 or whatever it went down too. Lol. Although the colors look absolutely gorgeous and I love the Naked 3 Palette. This I'll probably pass on. I am excited because there will be tons of smoky tutorials and maybe I'll learn how to do something similar. So that is pretty cool!
I was thinking of getting the original Naked Palette a few months ago during the Sephora Sale... but decided not to. Now I kind of like the Naked on The Run... cause that looks like it has my kinds of colors... but I feel like that is wayyy overpriced. Lol. Probably won't pick it up... but that doesn't make it any less exciting!
