First Impression: Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask

So I just got the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask from Sephora because I've had really dry skin, I heard this was really good for it and I'm willing to try anything right now. Lol. I really liked the Origins Charcoal Mask... but this is going to help me a little bit better I believe.

I know that you should test skincare out a lot before doing a review of it... but I feel like I get a lot of Instant Results with skincare. I have a really dry chin right now, so if that is gone tomorrow morning I will be very very happy. I know I said that about the ELF skincare and I felt more hydrated after using it and now I'm dry... I don't think its the fault of the products. Sometimes when I exfoliate my chin too much it gets dry...so I should stop that. Lol.

Some info
This smells kind of like apples. Its $25 and contains 3.4 fl oz. Some Origins masks come in smaller sizes for $15 if you want to try it out... at Sephora at least this did not have that option, I'm thinking maybe an Origins stand at like Macy's or something might have it... but I'm not quite sure. Those places always try to sell you everything... so I avoid it sometimes... but yeah this is good.

There is also a 5 minute or 10 minute mask that has the drink up name on it... so I think that would probably be good if you have more oily or combo skin. This I think is supposed to be a super intense moisturizer. I asked the girl at sephora if this was good for dry skin, she said yes, its good to clean your face, exfoliate and then use this. She also said you could just kind of use it as a spot moisturizer for your problem areas... I think I'll try to do that eventually but tonight I think I'll try it on my full face... just to see.

What's this made of?
I'm happy the ingredient list is just on the back of this! It says its made with "nature's most nourishing nightcaps. Plant Glycerin, Hyaluronic Acid and Apricot Kernel Oil. It also has Avocado and Mango Butters to keep you hydrated the next day and Japanese Seaweeds to prevent future moisture loss. Interesting.

What isn't in this
Parabens, Phthalates, Propylene Glycol (this is arsenic. Its used to preserve things I get. Its in a lot of dog foods, which is bad and Fireball whiskey... which is delicious lol) Mineral Oil, PABA, Petrolatum, Paraffin, DEA, Synthetic Color, Synthetic Fragrance, or Animal Ingredients. It doesn't say its not tested on animals, but it says it tests on volunteer panels and gives a link to their site for more info... which I'm gonna look up cause idk if they test on Animals and I want to know...

It claims not to... but Idk one sentence makes me think there is a loophole in there.

Here  is where I found this out. The sentence says "We do not conduct animal testing on our products or ingredients, nor do we ask others to test on our behalf, unless required by law. We evaluate our finished products in clinical tests on volunteer panels."

The "unless required by law" makes me wonder if they do animal testing because in China it is required by law to test on animals... so I'm gonna say this probably isn't tested on animals... but if they sell in China... yeah. I have said I don't use only products that aren't tested on animals... but I prefer when products aren't tested on animals... so yeah.

First Application

So it says to just put it on clean skin... doesn't say if you need to wet your skin or keep it dry. I left it a little wet but didn't have a soaking wet face with this. I used it as the girl at Sephora recommended. I used the Purity face cleanser and the Garnier Charcoal scrub before putting this on. Its really thick and it looks like a moisturizer... so you probably could just use it as a moisturizer or a night cream. It doesn't make my face look all that different with it on. It really doesn't look like I have a mask on... but it does feel kind of sticky on my face. It looks a little like a peel off mask.. but it isn't. Its weird. I like the way its feeling so far! It really feels like my skin is getting moisturized. It stings a little on my chin... but my chin has been stinging a little bit anyway.

If you have more normal skin, I would say to just not use this in your t-zone. This says to use it twice a week or as needed. I think I'm going to use it once on my entire face and once on just my chin probably. I'll let you know when I wake up what this is like. Lol. Its a very fragrant smell though, which is a little bothersome... its not artificial... but its strong. And I'll probably get used to it, but its a good but strong smell.

Update
I just woke up. Haven't taken it off yet, its still kind of sticky to the face. My chin still looks red, so there were no instant results or anything yet... which is okay because I do feel it hydrating and I put it on quite late... so I haven't even had it on all that long. But I'm going to keep it on for a bit longer and we'll see what happens when I wash it off.

After Taking it off

I waited a few hours and then took it off. So far, I still have redness and dry patches. Its maybe reduced a little bit... but nothing has gone down after this use. So I'm going to keep using it and update you after a few more uses. The rest of my face feels pretty good. My nose feels a little bumpy still. It doesn't feel all that different. But it does feel good! So that is a start!

A Few Days Later
So after using it just on my chin a second time... its pretty much cleared up! So yeah. Digging this! I think twice a week is a good amount to use this... if my skin feels extra dry, I'll use it a little more... but overall its a winner I think! Yayyy!

Quite a while later

I thought I already posted this... but I didn't! I'm still really digging this! My skin is a little less dry now, but I still think once or twice a week is good for this. Its wayyy better than the super expensive Glamglow mask and... I'm really impressed!

Byeee!
