How To-sday: Prestige Hocus Pocus
Alrighty I just got the Prestige shade in Hocus Pocus and I was like "I gotta do this right now!" Lol it's been a while I've been resisting this because I've had so many other things to try... but I needed to do this. Lol. I did a different prestige shadow before doing this... but yeah. This might not be on very long because I've been sneezing on and off... so we shall see.
I'm going to start out with my eyes because I have a feeling this will have some fallout. I'm going to prime with Maybelline's Color Tattoo in Dramatic Black. This is my first time using this, I bought it months ago to go with Kindness from the Coffeebreakwithdani palette... and I didn't do that yet. This color looks a lot like Kindness... so hopefully this looks good!
haven't even touched this to swatch it! I've had this for months... it scares me though. Not gonna lie!
This went on easily over the second eye that I did... but not over the first... so I'm gonna clean that up. I'm just going to use water and a paper towel. Hopefully it doesn't take long to get off... lol. And yeah. So that removed easily and once you get the hang of it, it applied really easily too.
Then I went in with Hocus Pocus, which would look great without a black base also, but it gives it a different type of look. This applied really nicely. Next I'm going to take Unedited from the Lorac Unzipped Gold Palette and put that in my crease. I underestimated how pigmented that shade was! It really shows up and it got a little messy... but I think it works!
Now I kind of want to bring in some of the burgundy of this look, so I'm taking Kat Von D's Metal Crush Eyeshadow in Raw Power and putting that on the outer corner. And I like how this looks. Its a little... much for me not leaving the house at all today... but I'm having fun with it. I'm gonna wipe my face with a paper towel and then I'm going to do my face makeup. Lol.
Okay this look actually took me forever and it was taking even longer cause I was blogging while doing this... and I'm not sure I'm crazy about the way the look looks on me... its probably a bit much in general... but we'll see!
So I did concealer first I used Erase Paste and Superstay Better Skin, then I used my Covergirl Superstay and Maybelline fresh effects bb cream. I put some of the erase paste on my browbone and highlighted with the matte highlight shade from the Unzipped Gold Palette. Its called Undressed... yeah lol. So I used that. For my blush I used the Tarte Blush Palette and the shade Beaming, which is very light and very glittery. I'd say use this without a highlight... I used a highlight, the Catrice Illuminating highlighter pen... which is hard to use and I still had trouble with it.
I put on some Rimmel Scandaleyes in Turquoise on the waterline and lower lashline and I used L'oreal's Voluminous butterfly Intenza mascara. I powdered with Bareminerals Mineral Veil powder and set with the Elf Makeup Mist and Set.
For my lips I used the Too Faced Shadow Insurance Lip Primer and Bite Beauty's matte lipstick in Cafe... and that's it!
I sort of like this look... not very wearable, but if you're going out... this is great. I would maybe skip putting the dark brown in the crease. If you have a more burgundy matte color, go with that... I think that was my mistake here... otherwise I like it!
