Review: I On Beauty Brush Kit

So I actually got this brush kit from a friend for my birthday and I'm in love with it! I just tried this out today, so its sort of a first impression... but you can tell with makeup brushes whether you like them right when you try them or not... so thats good.

I don't know much about this brand because this was a gift. They're a lot like eco tools though, they have bamboo brush handles so they're nice and sturdy. They're eco friendly also, it said on the packaging so I think they're cruelty free... and they are super soft and fluffy and thats awesome.

It comes with a lot of great multi tasking brushes too, which is great because its for travel. They're all smaller in their handles and stuff, but I could definitely see using a lot of these in different ways than the ways it says... but it also works well the way that they are intended also... so its great!

First off the Foundation brush. This is an angled brush thats nice and fluffy. I loved the way this worked with my foundation. I sometimes feel like foundation brushes can make you look cakey or streaky but this one really didn't because the shape was nice and the bristles were soft so it made it blend easily and it just looked really good. I didn't feel like I needed to go over it with a sponge to make it look less streaky or anything, I just tried it and it was really nice and worked well. You could use this for concealer also, or even highlight if you don't like Angled foundation brushes. Its really nice.

Then there is the Powder Brush which I used to apply my blush from the Sonia Kashuk Grand Bazaar palette. This is super fluffy and its kind of angled, so it would work well for an all over powder or just with a blush. I like the angle for blush because it just looks really natural and its easy to apply that way. It would also work really well with bronzer or to contour (I kind of like stiffer brushes for contouring, but this would work well too) and its nice. The set comes with a nice pouch that would fit well in a purse, and I think this would be a great brush to keep in there with a powder for touch ups... but I also really like it for blush. So... yeah. Lol.

It also came with a concealer brush. Its a little version of the Foundation brush basically and it worked just as well to blend out the under eyes as the foundation did for the foundation. I could also see using this for eyeshadow. Its kind of big for that... but I think it would work well. I also used an undereye powder with this too and it worked out well.

There's also a contour brush which I used to put my crease shadow in. I was thinking this would be too big for the crease, but it actually applied it really nicely and blends it well too. I was probably most excited about this brush because it is really hard to find a nice precise crease brush that packs on a shadow really well. It's really good. This would also be good to contour the face. You could use this to find where your contour goes, but a little bit of shadow there and then use a larger brush to carve it out more. It would also be great for contouring the nose, which you can do with a matte brown shadow that you might use for your eyes also... so thats good. Even for highlighting, this would be good and precise!

There is a brow comb, I love these. This isn't too sharp and pointy that you feel like you're going to stab yourself if you use it for your lashes. I don't use any product in my brows but I like to make sure that they're combed because they can look crazy sometimes... so I love these for that. And if you have a clumpy mascara situation, this separates the lashes nicely!

And lastly it came with an angled liner brush. I had trouble with this... but I'm just starting out with cream eyeliner, so its kind of user error. I like a thin, precise brush to do my liner with... but this would be a good brow brush, I could use it in the crease, or the lower lash line or waterline. Or just for the wing part of the liner... I'm still learning with this one... so I may use it well some day... but right now its too much for me.

So yeah. I think this would be a great gift if you're looking for ideas for Holiday gifts or anything. This would maybe be a good secret santa thing. If you're traveling and you want a full makeup look set, this would be really good. Or if you know someone that loves makeup, but you have a hard time picking out makeup for or you think they have a lot and don't want to overwhelm them, this is great!

So yes! I'm very happy with this and I hope you guys try it!

Byeee!
