How To-sday: Drugstore Thanksgiving/ Holiday Look w/ Makeup Revolution Romantic Smokey Palette
Heyyy guys! I feel like I haven't used this palette in forever and its a pretty awesome palette and perfect for fall... so I thought, why not do a Thanksgiving look with this palette. I think I'll have a 2nd thanksgiving look tomorrow also... but idk I might do something like this for thanksgiving. All drugstore and affordable products are used here and... lets just get into it.
Eyes
First I primed my eyes with Maybelline's Inked in Pink and then I went into the palette. I took the third color in the palette, which is like an icy pink color and I put that all over the lid. Next I went into the crease with this matte pinky color that is the 9th color in this palette and used that sort of as a transition color. I went in with the color to the left of that which is a light matte brown and used that to darken it up a little. Then I put the burgundy color that is the last shimmery color in the palette (the 6th color) and I put that in the outer corner of my eye. Then I took the Maybelline Superstay better skin concealer and put that under my browbone and then used the matte cream color next to the Burgandy shade to highlight the browbone. This palette has the best white color for an inner corner highlight as well, it is the first color in the palette so I just popped that into my inner corner and that was it!
I forgot how amazing this palette's matte shadows were!
I used the Nyx Slide on Glide on Pencil in Golden bronze in my waterline and then I curled my lashes and used the L'oreal Butterfly Intenza Mascara and the Ulta Rain Coat Top Coat mascara on top to make it waterproof.
Face
For my face I primed with the Maybelline Blur and Illuminate Primer and I mixed 2 products together. The first is the Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream, if you can't find this one, use any light coverage BB cream you have and then I dotted that all over and then used a little bit of the L'oreal Infallible foundation, dotted that on and blended that out with a brush that I sprayed the L'oreal Infallible setting spray on first. I wanted a little more coverage so I went in with a little tiny bit more of the L'oreal foundation... and I think that was a bit much.
I decided to contour too because why not, so I used the Elf Contour Palette. The darkest shade I used to contour, the lighter brown I used to bronze and I highlighted with the shimmery highlight. The Matte highlight I actually used to set my undereyes... but I did that later... so yeah.
I used a blush from the Elf Blush Palette in light also. I think I used the color on the bottom left of the palette. I used the Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Concealer under my eyes and blended that out with a wet brush also. I then set that and lightly set my face with the Elf HD powder and then set the undereyes with that color from the contour palette. I went over it with the powder again a little later... I may have used too much. I think I lightly set everything before I did the contour... that makes sense. Lol. I spayed with the L'oreal Infallible setting spray.
Lips
I actually used the Too Faced Lip Insurance Primer... this isn't from the drugstore... but if you're going to be eating on Thanksgiving, this will help. Then I used the Nyx Lipliner in Peekaboo Neutral and then I used Colourpop's Matte Lippie Stick (not their liquid lipstick) in Lumiere and called it a day! Lol.
I might look a little too done and a little bit cakey... but I like the look. I'm not doing anything right now, so thats why I'm like "OMG THIS IS TOO MUCH MAKE UP" But for thanksgiving it'd be nice. And if your cooking this will last nicely on you.
Hope this was helpful!
