Soap Sunday: Bath and Body Works Vanilla Flower
So I thought I would start reviewing Hand Soaps... because Life is just so exciting. Lol.
Vanilla Flower from Bath and Body Works was in the Mother's Day tote bag... and I was super excited for it. I love the Bath and Body Works soaps and this was a new and different formula so it was something a little bit new... so that was cool.
Now with this different formula... they aren't the same price as the usual soaps... they're a little bit more expensive. They're $8.50 regularly... and they have some sort of deal if you buy 2... I think they have 2 for $16... so you don't save much money... but it's a little something. The other flavors in this line are Black Cherry Merlot, Eucalyptus Mint, Kitchen Lemon, Perfectly Pear, Spring Gardenia, Japanese Cherry Blossom, Sunshine Cherries, Peach Bellini and a Linen and Lavender hand Lotion. Some of those are available in the regular line as well... Vanilla Flower is not.
And the "Special Formula" of these soaps are that they include Olive Oil... which makes them really nice for your hands. It moisturizes a lot and it just feels really great on the hands and I love it. A lot of times when you wash your hands a lot it will dry it out... this never did that. So that's really nice!
The smell is also AMAZING! It kind of lingers and it just smells like a nice perfume. My mom doesn't wear perfume and she put it on and she was like "Ohhh, this smells like a nice perfume." And she was impressed with how long it lasted on her hands after that and how nice it felt when she washed her hands.
It also comes in a cute little bottle, it's kind of fancy looking- so if you're having a fancy party, this would be good to put out. It also would probably be a nice gift, for like a new house gift or a hostess gift or something where you want to give someone a polite gift- but you don't need to get anything big. It would be good in like a care package or if you were doing a gift auction or something and looking to put something in a gift basket... it's just a really nice soap that is kind of fancier. If I saw this in the bathroom of a salon or a store or something... I would think it's super fancy... so that's something to think of too.
The scent is a little girly... it does linger and I don't think it's really all that strong... but that being said... not the manliest scent... so if you use the same bathroom as your boyfriend, husband, dad, brother, male roommate... it might kind of make them smell a little girly- not sure if every man would really like it. A lot of these scents like Eucalyptus Mint might be a manlier option.
I could also totally imagine a scenario where a guy uses this and then his girlfriend smells it and says "What perfume is this!" And gets mad... like the State Farm Commercials. Lol.
Anyway weird way to end the blog there... haha. This is my favorite Bath and Body Works Soap that I've ever tried- and I would highly recommend it. I'm hoping this comes out as a perfume, a lotion, a candle... they could use a full line of this!
