L'oreal Skin Expert Paris Pure Clay Mask Detox and Brighten Charcoal Mask

I've been wanting to try these masks for a while... and I picked one up! Just a tip... they're a little expensive in store... but on Target's Website, it's only 9.99! I think it was like $16 in store and I was like "Meh... for that price I'd rather just spend $9 more and get the origins." But for 9.99 it's not bad!

Claims
Basically the top of the box has a bunch of mumbo jumbo about it being enhanced with nature sourced ingredients... made with 3 clays... says it detoxes, brightens and purifies for an even and radiant complexion.... that's all kind of mumbo jumbo double talk... don't really trust that part...

So it says Kaolin, Montmorillonite and Moroccan Lava clays enhance the charcoal. It's supposed to clear impurities, reduce dull skin, even out the skin tone and refresh and allow the skin to breathe. So far after just trying this for the first time... that all sounds legitimate.

What I really like is that it says See Effective Results Immediately and Use after Use... I dig that!

It says immediately skin looks brighter with a healthy glow... yes I can say that for sure. Dirt dust and pollution are perfectly removed from the skin... I can say that sounds legitimate. Skintone looks more even... yeah I think so. And skin looks smoother... and yes.

Use after use it says skin is clean as if detoxified... which makes me wonder if it is really detoxifying... It doesn't really claim to detoxify I guess.

Skinn feels as though it can breathe... Thats another claim on the box... so I would hope so... And skin is more healthy and beautiful... duh if you keep up with your skincare it should be!

Size?
So it's 1.7 ounces... more than I thought based on what it looks like. You only really use a little bit. A dab'll do ya but dab both cheeks, forehead, chin, nose and if you want to do your neck that would be good too. It does suggest to use it 3 times a week... so you'll go through it fast.

Directions
Put it on dry skin! Which is weird... and then the dab thing I just said! Keep on for 10-15 minutes.

During use
It started off super super dry feeling... and it did get quite a bit tighter. The smell is very floral... a little overwhelming. If you've tried the Origins Charcoal Mask... it has a similar scent to whatever that has... so I'm guessing whatever scent they put in this is something that won't bother the skin and it just kind of covers up the charcoal scent. So hope that's it.

It removed easily... it didn't hurt or make my skin red. My skin did feel a little warm afterwards... but I think that's just from the detoxifying part. That's what's supposed to happen I think... not sure... but that's what happens to people after getting massaged sometimes I think... I've never been massaged. Lol.

First Impression
It was good! I mentioned... I don't really think its worth $16... target's website is a better option... I think if you show the difference in store they might be able to price adjust it for you... not sure. It was super easy to order it online. I ordered it 1 week before Christmas Eve and it shipped within a few days! So easy shipping. Other than that, I'm excited to use this some more. I'm happy it has immediate effects... one of my complaints about Glamglow is that it's $69 and it doesn't make you Beyonce immediately after one use. And the small one, which is what I got it didn't do anything at all... and it was $22 and that's just too much money for what it did. Nothing really happened. This for $10 and I did notice something immediately... yeah!

A few uses later...
Okay, I used this consistently 3 times a week this week... and it really does make a difference! I think my skin is a lot smoother. It kind of tightens the skin, so it looks a little bit younger and it's just a nice mask. My skin feels really nice and smooth today. So really nice! I think I would recommend it... but again... I'm already a little low in the jar... so it's expensive for the amount you're getting. Not the worst value for $10... and i guess it isn't bad for 12.99 at Ulta... idk. It's good.

Hope this was helpful!

Byeee!
