First Impression Friday: Too Faced Mascara Melt Off
Okay... So I just got this today (Apr.13th) and I want to try it and do a first impression on it here and on Instagram.
Initial thoughts:
So I use the Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof, and I like Waterproof Mascaras because I have sensitive eyes that tear up and smudge a lot. And I didn't really think I needed this because my purity cleanser usually gets mascara off really well... but I used it last night and I was like "ohh... theres a lash." So... might help me not lose lashes... idk. I thought this would be good keeping in the purse too because sometimes Mascara bothers me when I'm out of the house, and its hard to remove... so Its nice that I have this option now that I can remove my mascara without ruining the rest of my makeup.
Its $17... which isn't bad for a high end mascara... but I know you could use coconut oil or almond oil... or even olive oil to remove makeup... but for me, this is a convenience fee. I'd love for them to sell this in mini sizes or maybe if a drugstore brand had something similar out... or if they sold a small tube of this with the better than sex waterproof. That would be cool... but again... haven't tried it yet, so I can't totally judge.
I'm scared that this is only going to work for me and no one else... lol. I feel like it could be discontinued cause its gimmicky... but I totally think its going to work for me... so lets see.
After Using:
Okay... a little different than I thought it would be. The mascara really doesn't just melt off... I guess it does maybe... idk... but you sort of need to rub it in a little bit with a tissue or something to get everything off. It did remove my eye makeup a little bit... so that idk... Not super happy with that part, but it isn't a deal breaker. My lashes feel very nice and soft.
This definitely isn't for everyone... but I really like it. Its something I feel like I needed and I'm glad its available for me and for other sensitive lashed people. Idk if this is going to be a total game changer holy grail product... but I think I'm going to keep using it and see if everything is good with it! I'll update you guys soon. I'm going to do a big claims vs reality thing on this... and a few new high end things soon. So that will be fun!
