Pros and Cons: Kat Von D Shade n Light Plum Quad

So I just used this Shade n Light Plum Quad from Kat Von D... and there are definitely some pros and cons to the palette... so I figured it'd be a good post.

Pros
It's small and easy to travel with! It's got You could definitely just use these shades for an easy eye look- or bring in singles or duos to get a little something different.

It's good for beginners because there isn't too much to do with it... but there's enough you can get different sorts of looks with. Particularly if you're used to buying single shadows. This looks really nice and fancy with a single shadow.

I like the plum variety because even though it's not just neutrals, you could definitely get a neutral look or a really colorful look.

It's relatively inexpensive for Sephora... especially since it is on sale right now... maybe it isn't still on sale- but it was a weekly wow and I think it's been on sale since then... so that's good.

It has a mirror- which is good. Small travel palettes like this don't always come with a mirror... and I like that!

Easy to blend! That's pretty major!

You could definitely buy this- see if you like the Kat Von D Shade n Light Formula- and then if you like it enough you can get the full size of the Shade n Light Palette!

It is pretty versatile... so that's pretty good!

Cons
It isn't much product... and considering you're still paying $15-$26 depending on if it's still on sale or not... meh?

I'm sure this isn't just the same as the regular Shade n Light palette. It isn't a bad formula... if you like it- you probably will like the shade n light palette... but it's probably not really the same.

The shape of the palette is a little awkward. It's nice that it looks like a coffin because Kat is into those sorts of things... but it's kind of bulky and hard to fit in smaller drawers... I did fit it into drawers anyway... but it's a little weird.

There are 4 different shades of these palettes... Plum, Jade, Rust and Smokey... if you really wanted to buy all of these palettes... or even just 2 of them... you might as well just splurge and get the full Shade n Light palette.

No one ever really talks about these anymore... and I feel like there's a reason for that. It's good but it isn't something outstanding. This is kind of my go-to for fancier eye looks... I use this with Nars Dual Intensity shadow in Himalia... and it looks fancy, put together and it is very easy. But... there's not too much else to do with this. So... I don't reach for it as often as when I first got it.

Byeee!
