Frugal Friday: Jesse's Girl Liquid Eyeliner in Black (and Brown)
I've always been pretty terrible at winged liner or liquid or gel eyeliner... so any product that makes that a little bit easier for me is a total win. So spoiler alert: This is kind of a total win! It's easy, its pigmented and it lasts a pretty long time on the eyes too! For the price, it isn't bad.

This is kind of a tricky brand to find anywhere really. I'm pretty sure its only available at Rite Aid and maybe some grocery stores. I don't really go to Rite Aid all that often... there aren't really that many around me, and I know some states don't even have Rite Aid at all. Maybe now that Wallgreens is looking to purchase Rite Aid this will be more available at Wallgreens or Rite Aid will have more stores or something... one can hope lol.
Anyway back to the review! The tip for this is sort of exactly what I need for the way I do my winged liner. It's very easy to get a thin line on and flick it out a little bit. I start from the middle and kind of just lay the brush down in an even line, and then I sort of draw the rest on with just the tip of the liner. You could probably get a thicker line out of this too... but that isn't really my thing... so I'm not the expert on that. The actual wing lasts longer than pretty much anything else does on my eyes. That usually fades pretty quickly... which is another reason why I rarely do winged liner... this is pretty good though.
I would definitely recommend getting the black color specifically. The black is in a silver tube... they have a brown liner that is in a tube that looks more black... go figure! That one is pretty good too... but it isn't quite as long wearing as this one... the black is just the way I would say to go. This isn't expensive... but spending money on sub-par products adds up... so I'd just say skip any of the colors because I've heard they are mostly not amazing... but the black is totally amazing. Definitely a game changer as far as liquid liner goes. Total favorite of mine! It makes it so easy!
Now I say this doesn't last a super long time because one day I did wake up pretty early to do my makeup and then I went out and did a lot of different things and towards nighttime it didn't look quite as nice as it did in the morning... but still that isn't something I would do every single day. Even if you have a regular 9-5 job this would probably last well. I probably applied it before 9 and it started wearing off at like 7 or 8. So that is kind of a good thing still. I also kind of think it was because I was wearing it with the Jesse's Girl Pigment... which isn't really long-lasting at all... keep that in mind.
Also keep in mind that although this is the easiest liquid liner I've ever really tried... it definitely isn't fool proof. Today I did a PERFECT wing on my right eye... and then I got to my left eye and things got messy... so just keep it in mind if you aren't that experienced with liquid liner... Practice makes perfect... and I need more practice for sure!
