Youtuber and Instagram Collab Round up Reviews!

So I thought with all the collaborations with popular you tubers and instagrammers out there, I would do a review on the products I have and the things I've tried from them and let you know a little of what I feel about them. There's a lot out there and I just thought this might be helpful. I also might do a little overview of some things I didn't pick up and talk about why I didn't. Usually these products are all good and they do reflect things that are important to certain youtubers and colors that they use with their looks... so yeah. Its just interesting.

I'm going to start out with Kathleenlights because she is very popular and I think she is collaborating with a lot of brands right now... and I wouldn't be surprised to see her collab with even more brands!

Kathleenlights
First lets talk about the Colourpop Lippie Stick in Lumiere. This is such a pretty color. She made it with Colourpop about a year ago and this is one of my favorite lipsticks that I own. Its neutral, but its still pretty deep and it would be flattering to everyone... go with every look. Plus its a matte finish and the colourpop matte lippie sticks last a pretty long time... actually this is the only lippie stick I've tried at this time... but it is good!

And her first quad from colourpop, Where the Light is is another absolutely gorgeous quad. This has golden shades that are very much things Kathleen has always gravitated towards in her tutorials and colors that are very her. They're really warm... I think I have cooler undertones... but I really like warm toned eyeshadows and this quad in the summertime especially is just absolutely gorgeous and definitely worth the hype. The theme of this quad is "Where The Light Is" which is Kathleen's favorite song lyrics and she's always mentioned she's obsessed with lights so the colors have light inspired names. There is one color Kathleenlights, which is like her signature color, there's glow, blaze (which is such a beautiful and unique color) and Cornelius (named after her dog.) I love when there's a story with the names and they have a theme. I thought this and the name Lumiere, which combines her love of lights and her love of Paris are just so clever and cool.

All the colors are very wearable, easy to use and easy to come up with looks with. Kathllenlights is absolutely beautiful and eye catching. Glow is a great highlight for the inner corner... and it isn't a completely matte shade. Cornelius... might be my least favorite shade. I don't dislike Colourpop's matte shades... you just need a synthetic brush to blend it in the crease... but I wouldn't purchase a colourpop matte shadow outside of a quad. I just prefer powder for that. And Blaze is gorgeous and super shimmery and really completes any look.

She also has 2 collaborations with the brand Ofra on their Liquid Lipsticks. I have one of them, which is called Havana Nights. This is a nice dark red color. I think the design of this was to go with and be mixed with her other shade Miami Fever... but it looks nice on its own too. Ofra is an indie brand I guess... but its not an affordable brand at all. These liquid lipsticks are about the same price as a Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick, plus shipping... but it seems a lot of youtubers have coupon codes with them... so just look for a coupon. I got Havana Nights because Kathleen had a 40%off code... so yeah.

The Actual Quality of this Liquid Lipstick is great. I have a first impression of it along with the next product I'm going to talk about. People compare it to the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream... and its like that but better. Its not just an overpriced version of the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream, its a lot smoother and a little better. I think it lasts a little bit longer too.

Dupethat
Also from Ofra are a couple of highlighters from some instagrammers with an account called Dupethat where... they dupe that! Lol. There is pretty much always a dupe for something... so this just helps with that.

So they have 2 highlighters one called You Glow Girl, which is cooler and a warm one called You Dew You. I only got You Glow Girl because that was what appealed more to me and what I thought would look better with my skintone. Again... not cheap but with the 40% discount... it was something I wanted to try.

And the quality is really great. Its nice and pigmented, the color is great... its very strobe-y. It lasts well on my skin and it just looks so nice. It is one of my favorites, I just really like it. If you love an in your face cool toned highlighter, this is great!

CoffeebreakwithDani
CoffeebreakwithDani also has some collabs with colourpop! She has a lippie stick called Frida... which looks gorgeous, but I don't have it... and a quad called Metamorphosis.

This also has a cool meaning behind it. Dani's all about inspiration and empowering women and this quad's meaning is to be the change you want to see in the world. And I know its not easy to say "wow this eyeshadow helped me change the world..." But with color names like Hope, Kindness, Strength and Bravery... its easy to put those on and have a positive outlook to make you do better things and be a better person. Bravery is a deep matte brown, Strength is a satin brown color... which is nice, as I've said... not a huge fan of Colourpop's Matte colors. And the other 2 colors are transformer shades, so they're a little sheer and you could use a colorful base and put them on over those shades... so thats a good way to use some cream shadows and come up with really different looks. You could use the same shades from the quad with different bases and get completely different looks and its awesome. She has a series on her channel where she comes up with uses for these, so if you don't know what to do I'd recommend checking that out... but its a good set. These are nice shades! Definitely recommend.

Vegas Nay
Vegas Nay is an instagrammer and she has a few collaborations. She has a palette with Too Faced... which I highly recommend if you can get your hands on it! It is such a nice palette... possibly my favorite palette! Its also a pretty good value because it comes with 12 shades, a pigment, a deluxe size of the Better Than Sex Mascara, A deluxe size of the Shadow Insurance Primer... and thats it... lol. But thats a lot for $45! The Urban Decay Naked palettes just come with a brush and sample packets of shadows in addition to 12 eyeshadows and they're $9 more! So I think this is pretty good! I like this palette better than the chocolate bar palette... I love the packaging. The names are once again, really clever. They have Vegas and Instagram inspired names... so thats pretty funny. Its just a good palette.

She also has lashes with Eyelure. I don't wear lashes, I have pretty sensitive eyes so idk if lashes would be good... plus I have long lashes already, so I don't really see the need for falsies... but hers look especially beautiful and I like eye lure's look. If I were to try lashes, it would probably be from eyelure.

Carli Bybel
This is pretty cool. I ordered her palette with BH Cosmetics because I liked the colors... I didn't really know who she was... but I started watching her and I really like her! Plus she lives in New Jersey! I'm from New Jersey! And her birthday is October 15th... my birthday is October 16th! And she's like a year older than me and she grew up like 30 minutes away from me... like what is life! lol.

So this Palette is gorgeous! Its really nicely pigmented to. The colors are kind of similar, not going to lie... but for the price, these are really amazing. The matte shades are fantastic, the shimmer shades are awesome. This reminds me of the Lorac Unzipped palette and the Unzipped Gold... the formula is a little different though. I think if you're not great with Lorac shadows, these might work out better for you... but its just a nice palette. Its been my go to going out or special occasion palette because it is really nice and shimmery and I just really like it! Its good!
MakeupGeek
You can't talk about youtube collabs without mentioning MakeupGeek right? I had never really tried makeup geek cause its not as affordable as you tubers claim it is... lol. $6 a shadow adds up... plus you need a palette for them... so you can't get many without breaking the bank. I got some around Christmas when they were doing bundles of eyeshadows and I recommend getting the Baby Z Palettes from Sephora. These are actually a little bit bigger than the regular Z Palettes and they're only $10!

And I like them a lot. I feel like these are worth the hype. For the amount your getting in the pan... it isn't overpriced. I feel like its the price it should be and Mac is a little overpriced... lol. But anyway... these are good quality shadows and I really like them. I would recommend. Some of the shadows are the same price as a mac shadow... The foiled shadows are about the same price as Mac... but they're still really good and I like them... so if you like single shadows, this is great.

Tati (Glamlifeguru)
I saved Tati's collaboration for last because she is the person I've been following the longest out of all of these people... so of corse I wanted to try her makeup collaboration! Her collection is with a new line from Birchbox called LOC, it is sold exclusively at Birchbox... you don't need to subscribe to Birchbox to get it. Birchbox has a really nice website with a great reward point system... I'm not subscribed to Birchbox, I never will subscribe to Birchbox, I'm not a monthly subscription box type of person... its just a personal preference thing. I will order from the site though because I like it.

So I think this is a limited edition collection with her, there will probably be other you tubers that come out with LOC products... not really sure. And these are eyseshadow pencils and matte lipstick pencils. I only have the shadows and these are supposed to be "One and done shadows."

And these are awesome. I really liked how these looked on me. I'm not great with pencil shadows and I didn't think I was going to like these at first... but I actually loved the way they looked on. They lasted all day and I think that they'd be great for travel or just for a quick look. These are really fun and I just like them a lot. You could even put these in your purse... they might melt if its hot out, but if its not hot out it'd be fine. I like these a lot. I wish they were permanent!

Em Cosmetics
I actually did a review on the Life Palette New Year's Eve Edition. It was really nice, its not the best palette ever... but it is really nice! I was really nice. I'm happy I got it. The colors are unique for me and its a nice arrangement. Versatile, travel friendly and just nice. I like it a lot!

Byeee! Hope these recommendations work out for you!
