Red Carpet Products for Non-Celebrities

So I thought this might be fun. Since its the Oscars today, I thought I'd go through some skincare things I'd do to get ready if I were attending the Oscars and some makeup I'd maybe use on the red carpet... so yeah.

This is loosely inspired by Bailey B who did something called a babble box unboxing with a "Red Carpet Ready" theme. Idk I'm not going to the Oscars, I wasn't nominated this year. And I haven't seen any of the movies besides Star Wars, Inside Out and Fifty Shades of Grey (quite a combo!)... but yeah. I want Lady Gaga to win... thats about it.

Anyway... lets get into the stuff.

Skincare
I mentioned this in my Monday Musts... which I accidentally posted already... but the Origins masks. I haven't meant to really be using these a lot this week... but I've used a few different ones a few different times and my skin has looked great this week. I used the Original Skin mask once... thats a little harsher... the Charcoal Mask I used twice... you really only need to use it once a week... but I was addicted to the way my pores looked after this I guess... lol. So I saw a difference after this. And the Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask... which is amazing for dry skin. My skin always looks amazing and bright after this. These are great.

To take your makeup off after you win the gold, Purity Made Simple by Philosophy. This stuff is amazing! There are lots of good sales on this also... so you know if you make some bad career choices after winning your Oscar... or if you just don't have an oscar and need a good facial cleanser... this works amazing. It removes 90 percent of my makeup and really changed how my skin looked once I started using it. So Its amazing to me.

For that other 10% of makeup to remove, you want to exfoliate... the best gentle exfoliator I've tried is the St. Ive's Oatmeal Face Scrub and Mask... this is awesome. I got it from Influenster, but I will definitely repurchase when I'm done. This is fantastic.

Body Care
Lets start with feet cause you gotta make sure they look great in your heels... right? So I use the Amope Pedi Perfect about once a week. This gets rid of all the dry skin and dullness on the feet and leaves you with the softest baby feet ever. I love it.

After using the Pedi Perfect to make my feet a little softer I use the Nivea Cream. One of my friends on the Tati app suggested using this after pumicing your feet and it works amazingly well. Its so soft and feels great on the hands and feet. Thats something you can use on your feet before the red carpet, and then maybe throw in your clutch just in case your hands get a little dry throughout the ceremony. Great multi-use balm.

Also the Amope Nail Perfect is great. Your manicure will last much longer if you use this before. Its great.

And for perfume I think I like Elizabeth and James Nirvana White the best. Its such a nice going-out scent and if you mix it with the Nirvana Black it gives an even more different but awesome red-carpet ready scent.

Makeup
If you want a foundation that looks great and lasts all through the night, go with the Too Faced Born This Way. This gives a nice sort of luminous finish to the skin and it photographs so natural.

If you want a contour... I don't contour too often, but I love the Elf Contour Kit. This works so well for such a great price. If you want something a little fancier, lately I've been contouring with the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soliei bronzer and I've been liking that a lot too.

For blush I'm going to say go with one of Too Faced's love flush blushes... there are a lot of shades to choose from and these truly last longer than any other blush. I love my Lorac Unzipped Cheeks best... but if you're going to party all night, get the Too Faced!

Highlight... my favorite part! Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit is so nice. It shows up really nicely on the cheekbones, it photographs amazingly and it doesn't really exaggerate pores either. I have the kit in Gleam, That Glow also has beautiful golden shades... just amazing. Who doesn't want a whole kit for highlighting!

For powder the Elf HD is my current favorite. Its a little messy, but it'll make your makeup last.

For the eyes... I'd definitely start off with a nice primer... everyone has their own favorites... so I'm not going to recommend one over anything. I would say then go in with something like the Pur Eye Polish or the Revlon Eye Art duos. These are going to allow any powder to stick very well and they have gorgeous colors themselves.

Eyeshadow... I'd go with a Rose Gold palette or a gold palette. The one I'm using for my Oscar Night is most likely the Lorac Unzipped. The Unzipped Gold is also gorgeous and would give you that nice red carpet glamour that you're going to want... and still have a nice classic, classy look.

And lashes... go with whatever mascara works for you! My personal favorite is the Bareminerals Lash Domination... but top it with something waterproof like the Ulta Rain Coat Top Coat... cause you may get emotional when you win and make your speech.

Ohhh and Lipstick... I'm going to say go bold! Use Nyx Brick House Liner with Kat Von D's Nosferatu. Also use the Too Faced Lip Insurance beforehand because that'll make it last even longer.

I'd like to thank myself for this post because I posted the Monday Musts too early and am therefore bumping my favorites until Monday. I'd also like to thank myself for coming up with such a great idea. Thank you Shannon and May The Force Be With you!

Byeee!

PS- If you really want some tips from the stars... I know Lady Gaga's Makeup artist and Amy Schumer's MUA use Sephora brand products... so yeah.

BTW this is not sponsored by anyone... no one pays me for anything... at all... in life... lol... so yeah.
