Empties March 2016

So I have some empties... I don't really save them up or anything... but if I've used stuff up, I figured I'd keep it in mind for a review.

The Cerave Eye Cream. I got a sample of this in a Target Beauty Box and I used it up. I liked it, but it didn't have great packaging. I think a full size might be better... idk. It just squeezed out a little too much when I used it so I would get A TON of eye cream and you don't need that much eye cream, you only really need a dab. Idk if I'd purchase this... maybe just to see what its like. I don't really use eye creams because I'm only 24 and I feel like it might be a waste of money... but I'd like to continue to look 24... so maybe I should? 24 isn't that young... idk. Its a weird commitment thing now. Lol.

And I used up a sample packet of the Murad eye cream. This I just used at the time I'm writing this part, and it did hydrate my under eyes... but its $80 and I'm not Beyonce... so that I know I won't repurchase... but it was great. So if you are Beyonce... check it out!

I finished the Shimmer and Champagne hand soap from Bath and Body Works. It smells really nice, not just like Champagne. I liked it. I live with my parents and we have people over all the time, so these soaps get used up fast... but we love the scents, especially the winter ones. This we put out at New Years. Also used up one with an elf on it... I think it was called "elfin around" maybe not... lol. It smelled like fruit punch and it was amazing! I would definitely recommend anything they have that smells like fruit punch (cause they may have different ones in different packaging.)

I finished a Bubble Bath from Avon. It was a cucumber melon one I think... I'll look it up. Love Avon Bubble Baths and love the scent of this. I know a lot of people love Lush bubble baths and bath bombs and things like that... I'm not Beyonce so I don't really get that much from Lush. Plus those scents are very herbal and I'm not a huge fan of that. I prefer artificial fruity scents... so I like Avon. Lol. My mom uses this too, but I thought I'd include it.

The Pixi Glow Tonic. I liked this, I thought it kinda sorta made a difference... but there wasn't a lot of product and it was $15 and I went through it quite quickly... so for something I kinda sorta thought worked... its not worth it. They have a full size thats pretty big and its $29... but I still think that wouldn't last me very long and it would only kinda sorta work... so I'm not in love with it... but I did love using it. So idk if I'd really recommend this... but I liked it.

Winter Candy Apple Body Wash from Bath and Body Works! I love this. I have one more, I have a lot of shower gels... I'm on a slight body product no buy I think... but I'm happy with my back ups and this one is also really nice. I'd buy it again next year! And in future years. So nice!

The Amika Dry Shampoo. I loved this. I got this with the Dry Shampoo set from Sephora. This smells amazing, I think it holds my curl well... the thing is I sort of forgot to use it for the way I intended to use it a lot... so thats not great. Lol. But still. Good Dry Shampoo. Can't complain! Would consider repurchasing if Birchbox has a sale or something, but I still have the rest of the dry shampoos to get through right now!

This next one was a sample I got from Ulta and this I'm probably the most upset about of all these empties. Lol. This is the Le Coveht de Mihimes Baume du Jardinier (Gardner's Hand Healer.) This was great. I don't think it was miraculous or anything. My bedroom is right over my garage basically... so its freezing cold in here and my hands are always cold and dry and dead... but these made them not hurt so much. Lol. I used this over everything else and it was great.

Ohhh I did finish another hand cream too. That was before I started writing this... its the Coco Care hand cream in the yellow tubes. I don't even know if they make this any more... but its amazing if you can find it.

I finished another sample. The Vichy Liftactiv Serum 10. This was alright. I might have another use in it... but I don't love keeping these baggy sample packet thingys after I use them... and I don't think it was better than my current moisturizers, the Tarte Maricuja Oil and the Elf Night Cream... so I would use another sample of this... but its probably expensive and I'm not gonna purchase it.

I finished an EOS shave cream in Vanilla Bliss. I love this stuff. I feel like people don't like this because it doesn't have much of a smell to it and it doesn't foam up... and I've heard people from youtube not like it because of that... and that sort of upsets me. I know its just something they don't personally like and its not like they're bashing it if it works for people... but for people with sensitive skin, a shaving cream is a lot better than a foaming one... and scents can cause allergies... so idk I just feel like they should have thought about that before they said anything. This was years ago I heard people talking about it... and they're fine youtubers... but just something to note. Foaming shaving creams bother me... so I'd say shaving creams are definitely safer. I guess its just their personal experience... but still. If it had a dior label on it or something... people would be loving it saying its so innovative but because its $3 I feel like they're bashing it. Just my two cents... lol.

I actually finished 2 of those.

I used up a Philosophy Christmas Cookie shower gel... I feel like Philosophy around the holidays is one of my favorites. They always go on sale early and then they're even more reduced after Christmas and you can find them at TJ Maxx... and I just really like the shower gels. I like them a lot. I have a back up and I would definitely by more next year, or if I see it at TJ Maxx because I like them a lot. I find them hydrating and they just smell fantastic.

I also finished the Philosophy Almonds and Cream Shower Gel. This I think is discontinued, but its at TJ Maxx. This is nice, but the shower gel was a little thick compared to the other shower gel... so I feel like this didn't make me quite as clean... idk. I used less and that was weird to me, but it was moisturizing and it took a while to use up.

I finished L'oreal's Infallible Setting Spray. This lasted quite some time. I had a few different setting sprays I was finishing up. I think I'm going to stick with the Maybelline one now cause its identical and a couple dollars cheaper.

I threw out 2 Revlon Lip Butters that I'm pretty sure are likely expired. These were good... but I've had them for forever. I used them quite a bit. I had Berry Smoothie and Strawberry something... these were nice.

I also threw out a lipliner that wasn't that old, but I didn't use it and it kind of dried up and I needed the cap because I lost the cap of my Colourpop Get Paid liner and I would have been heartbroken if that dried out cause it is one of my favorite products I own right now. So I was like "I'd rather just give up something I'm not crazy about than let go of something I love." Btw it was the Catrice Liner in Red Cadillac I think it was called. It was retractable, and I feel like they dry out faster. I tried using it once and it just didn't work.

I also got rid of 2 nail polishes that dried up. One was glittery confetti hearts from the Justin Beiber Nicole by OPI collection. The other was a Sinful Colors glitter that I used for Fourth of July mostly. It was a little hard to use, and it got old and congealed... so I had to get rid of it.

I finished a regular stick deodorant and a spray on deodorant. Both from Degree. I like them both, I think the stick lasts longer... but the spray is more Shannon-proof and not as messy. Plus if you're going away something you could share if anyone forgets deodorant. So I'd repurchase both of those.

I finished up another shower gel. The St. Ives Even and Bright Pink Lemon and Mandarin exfoliating body wash. This was sent to me for review by influenster and I absolutely love it! It is giant, its 3.99, doesn't bother my allergies, makes me feel clean exfoliates really well and I just think its awesome. Would definitely purchase this once I use up some more body wash... which I'm trying to do now.

One makeup thing I've finished is the Bareminerals Mineral Veil Powder. I like this a lot, I feel like its sort of an HD looking finish. I have a backup of this already... but this is something I'd repurchase again and again because it works really well!

Also pretty much done with the Elf HD Undereye powder... which kinda stinks cause I feel like I have enough left for one eye but not both... so idk if I should keep it or get rid of it... lol. This is a nice undereye setting powder. For $3... you can't go wrong with this.

Also finished up my Purology shampoo and conditioners, which are small travel sizes. I would not repurchase these because they are just too minty. If some got on my forehead they would break me out... I sat on it once... and that did not feel good. Lol. TMI... but just so you're informed. I used the Living Proof ones from Ulta recently and I like those a bit more.

I think I have a few more uses of the Too Faced Hangover Rx Primer...  but I'm going to mention it here because I think I'm going to forget about it. I like this a lot, its very hydrating... there isn't anything else quite like it... but I also love the Benefit That Gal... and I feel like I need them both in my collection... which is expensive lol. This I think works well with more products... but I like the Benfit one a little better... so idk. Idk if I'd repurchase it or not.

And last but not least... The Bareminerals Lash Domination Mascara! I love this mascara and I thought I had a little more left... but I noticed today it was very very clumpy so I think I'm just going to get rid of it because it is a little old at this point and its probably getting dried out. I do have a backup and I will be buying more.

And I think that is it! Hope this was helpful! I don't love doing empties... I don't really watch empties... but they are useful to do every couple of months... so I think I'll keep up with it!

Byeee!
